I use Puffin on an android tablet (nexus 7) to play Big Farm. The Photon Browser works too.
Both have free, ad supported versions, or inexpensive ad free ones
iSwifter seems to be the favourite for iPad and iPhone but there are others too including Puffin for iOS

I don't know if this has been suggested before or is the works at all, but would love love love to see a smart phone app be done! Would make farming on the go so much easier

There isn't an app for Big Farm but there are browsers available with built in flash, which makes Big Farm, and any other flash game or content, playable

Yes have tried on my phone through puffen but half the farm was cut off and was really hard to harvest and zoom into it.
A proper made app would be so much better!

As I said above iSwifter seems to be the favourite for iPad rather than Puffin. But there are others.
As bagel23 says a GGS app would be better, these are just workarounds until something better happens

There is nothing for the Kindle that I know of. Although it is based on Android it has its own proprietary OS and the android versions don't work with it. Photon had a Kindle version, but it was withdrawn

I bought a tablet just for this game and then found out that you cannot play Big Farm on it. That was told to me by Tech support.

Sophie do you have puffin installed? I believe its similar to flash player. Samty seems to be the expert on tablets, Lets hope she drops by to give you some advice. For now though scroll up to the top of this page and have a read of what other advice is given. Good luck with your tablet.

Thanks FarmerTess, but I'm certainly not an expert. I was though so disappointed when I found that I couldn't play Big Farm or my tablet that I Googled. A lot. Tablets and phones not having built in Flash is a very widespread problem, and there is a lot to read and a lot of workarounds. But it seemed to me the easiest of these workarounds is to install one of the special browsers that have a flash player built into them
I use Puffin on an android tablet (nexus 7) and android phone (nexus 5) to play Big Farm. The Photon Browser works too, but I prefer Puffin. Scrolling is bit funky and I wouldn't like to always have to play on my tablet, but it does work
Both have free, ad supported versions, or inexpensive ad free ones

There was a Photon browser for Kindles but it was withdrawn

Adobe stopped supporting Flash for Android a couple of years ago (in this case, it's not Kindle's fault).
Amazon has finally allowed their staff to tell us how to deal with Flash issues (before, it was up to us users to spread the word). Here is the forum thread (on Amazon) that explains in detail how to do it: http://goo.gl/CGY9uR It may seem overwhelming to some, but don't let it stop you from doing it. It's a LOT simpler than it looks. And you'll feel mighty proud of yourself when you finish.
I also like this guy, he's got great info on other stuff you might be interested in:
http://androidcowboy.com/
As a side note, I found an excellent e-Book manager FREE. It's called Calibre. If you collect a lot of e-books, you'll want this one: http://calibre-ebook.com/ You will also find many DRM free ebooks there.
I hope this helps.
Edit: I just did some testing, trying to load BF on the Kindle Fire HD 8.9 using both the Silk and Dolphin browsers.
Silk: BF won't even go to the first page because it can't use the required Flash.
Dolphin: Got to the log in screen, entered info, looked like it wanted to load it, then crash. That could mean anything. Since I don't use my tablet for BF I won't be trouble-shooting it, just thought I would post my findings in case others want to compare their results.

I bought a tablet for the same reason but the only browser I have found that will work is Photon and you cannot use it for all things. It's nearly impossible to use chat because the box is too small and the pop up ads glitch the keyboard, and you cannot move or place things because when you try to drag items with your finger you end up dragging the screen around instead. You can't use the speed plant feature either (where you plant one field of corn, for example, and then use the hoop to repeat that action on all the other fields) for the same reason. In the end, I just play a different farm game on android (the one that BF seems to be trying to copy now, fingers crossed) and play Big Farm on my desktop computer.

And for other devices:
iSwifter seems to be the favourite for iPad and iPhone but there are others too including an iOS version of Puffin
Kindles are Android based with their own proprietary variation. There was a version of Photon for Kindle but it was withdrawn. How ever there is this information on the Amazon Forums

I returned it once I couldn't use BF. Seeing another comment about how hard it is to use, guess it just wasn't meant to be. Will continue to use on laptop and desktop. Appreciate your help, thank you.
