Thanks knorretjes. Here are a few numbers I ran on producing those beans. Once I dig up my other numbers I will edit with how they compare to those "market deals" for converting gold to dollars.

Update:
Here are the conversions I have for the trading floor. It seems like those beans are a good deal if you are using a field at level 2 or greater. It will be more valuable if you use humus.

well 1 chicken coop will give you 1 page is not a sure thing...but still it is the fastest I guess....I have 12 level 5 chicken coop...I have run three times now...got 29 pages...so guess 9 or 10 pages everytime out of 12

I am guessing this one will take me close to 10 hours to complete. I have 3 coops, 3 sty's and 1 cowshed. If I received a page every single time, the minimum time would be 5 hours for me, but I know I won't get that lucky. I will be busy clicking away today. :S

Here's a question - can I prepare for the collecting leaves bit in task 3 by growing apples in my orchard but not actually collecting them until I start on that task? Will they yield leaves if I've started the crop before the task started? For that matter, ditto the cow, pig, chicken harvests for collecting pages for task 2?

Cheryl.. i just harvested pigs... 2 mins after the task begin and it gives me the book pages...

So yes you can start the crop before the task.

On page 1 someone asks what you get for planting the magioc beans for 100g a pop.

Let me get clear answer for people because this is my understanding.

If I pay 100g I will get back a crop of 160 more magic beans that I can sell for $30 each. So I am trading 100g for 4800 dollars?

Is that correct.

I first assumed if we just sold the beans we were given we would get $30 each?

Are these both right. Seems best to sell them off and dump them rather than pay gold for less than a 5k crop?

please answer the previous answers are short and unclear.

Also what if you turn lvl 48 during task .. do you still get bigger prize? I also had trouble answwering this.

With two level 2 orchards, producing 9 leaves, and if I sync them I will produce 18 leaves per 3 hours..
I'm going to need to harvest 150 leaves / 18 leaves = 13,8 -> 14 times
14 times 3 hours is 42 hours...

What am I doing wrong here? I hope I'm doing something wrong here..

From what I can gather, you pay 100 gold for the beans. When you grow them you will have a harvest of 100, 120, 140... (See my previous post about harvests. I understand you get $30 per bean so a level one field will yield $3,000 for 100 gold.

I did the math for you and came up with 9 times you would have to harvest them (9 x 18 = 162), which would be 27 hours. But cherry trees count also, and if you are at a lower level you probably don't need as many.

I'm level 25..
And you're right, I'm using this windows XP calculator and sometimes it just doesn't make any sense :P
Still, 27 hours.. and that's just when im harvesting every 3 hours..
