if you want fireflies use composter, silo, and windmill at max capacity

My mill is at level 4 and I noticed the mill only pretends to give a lot of fireflies as I was playing. I look at the firefly count before harvesting the mill. At harvest, it shows a bunch of firefly bottles, but the actual increase to my firefly count was less than 10 most of the time, even when I maxed production of chicken feed. I saw dozens of corn field harvests with many getting zero fireflies, or just one firefly.
I think I might be bitter about the collecting fireflies part of the event every time I look at that deco I got from it. I haven't put it in one of my farms yet, but I have a few things to say each time I see it in my drop box.

The mill giving out fireflies dends on the feed, if it is chicken it is very low if it is cowfeed it is extremely high (around 300 or more depending on how many you produce)

first step you need to collect cabbage and collect corn and donate eggs
second step you need to find storybook pages -- from main farm animals
third step you need to donate wildflowers and collect leaves
fourth step you need to find bread crumbs -- from main farm fields and orchards
fifth step you need to donate apples
sixth step you need to find fireflies -- can be found everywhere on main farm
then you get a fairy tale tower!

Hi everyone,
This is the best link I have found for all of the events. It is to Larino's Corner's Spreadsheet. It lists all of the tasks for each player level. There is even a section, called "collective collectibles possiblity", that lists where you are most likely to find each of the items. It has saved me much time, and aggravation. I hope it will help you too. Thank you Larino for such a useful game tool.
