On My AU Farm I am on level 22 and i need to:

I will be able to finish this one also later today.

P.S. I grew some Rice on my AU farm and it sell for $20 each.
Not very worth it if you ask me.

SSG save rice seeds for the third task yaar...

Okay SS.
But i was just testing it out on one field to see how much it sold for.

[701844] Mae Anne (US1) [US1] :: June 17, 2013, 4:59 p.m.
No reason to 'save' those three seeds. You get 6 more as part of the reward for the next task, and you only need 5 to complete that part of task#3 (less than 5 if you use humus)

[701846] mamidance1 (US1) [US1] :: June 17, 2013, 5:04 p.m.
Any information for TAsk 4?

[701847] Mae Anne (US1) [US1] :: June 17, 2013, 5:07 p.m.
Someone's gonna have to skip through #3 to get there - the cabbage part in particular is going to take forever.

Thank you Maria - is it just cherry orchards, or all orchards?

Has anyone noticed that the ink drawings have variation on them when you find them? Funny one, GGS :)

Here's some strategy notes and statistics for completing the Longing for the Far East event -

Advance warning -

Consider building temporary level 1 cherry orchards (and associated temporary housing if necessary) for tasks 1 & 5. Happiness does not matter for events, because the goal is to grow or harvest as much as possible, as quickly as possible. The main farm remains profitable even at the worst happiness of 300. Decorations can be placed into storage and retrieved once the event is over.
Build up stocks of humus and special cabbage for the large amount of cabbage needing to be grown in task 3. Using humus only on crops with high yields is a highly effective strategy as you get much more crop per bag of humus, for example, the standard cabbage yield is 41, so 50% humus gives an extra 21, whereas using it on special cabbage (215) gives an extra 108, about 5 times more, or, to look at it another way, you'd need to use 5 times the amount of humus on standard cabbage to get the same result.
Save 5 rice seeds from the reward for completing tasks 1 & 2, for task 3.
Consider building temporary level 1 pig stys (and associated temporary housing if necessary) for task 5.
Have apple & cherry orchards ready to harvest for task 4.
Have as much fertiliser as possible available for tasks 1 and 4.
Have as much corn and as little chicken feed as possible for task 6.

Task strategy -

Task 1 - Collect (ie harvest) fertiliser (30/40/50/60/70) & begin production of cherries (1/1/1/2/2). Have fields, coops, stys and byres ready for harvest for task 2. The cherry harvests are needed on task 4.

Task 2 - Find Japanese ink wash paintings (160/200/260/320/360) from the fields and stables.
Keep the coops running as much as possible and grow as much corn as possible. Average per hour for a single production facility -
First running of the event

		Average
		finds per	Number of
		hour harvests

Flowers 7.8 27
Corn 8.2 236
Cabbage 2 6

Coop L2 5 25
Coop L3 3.5 24
Coop L5 3.8 70
Sty 0.7 5

Task 3 - Collect (ie harvest) eggs (2,320/3,100/4,500/5,400/6,100), cabbage (1,300/1,900/2,500/3,300/3,800) & rice (970/970/970/970/970) from the fields and coops. 1 rice seed produces 200 in 55 minutes without humus. Consider building extra fields for the cabbage (and associated housing, if necessary). Produce humus for use on the cabbage. Keep as much cabbage as possible in store and unharvested for task 5.

Task 4 - Find cherry blossom (440/500/600/700/800) from cherry and apple orchards. Average per hour for a single orchard -
First running of the event

			Average
			finds per	Number of
			hour harvests

Third running of the event

Apple orchard L5	26.7 2
Cherry orchard L1	16.7 1
Prepare for the next tasks by milling enough pig feed and maximising cabbage for task 5, then mill and store the maximum chicken feed possible. Lastly, delay harvesting maximum mill load of pig feed and feeding pigs.

Task 5 - Start pig production (20/23/29/36/46) & collect (ie mill) pig feed (200/230/290/360/460)
Prepare for task 6 by having as many things ready to harvest as possible and have as much corn and as little chicken feed as possible so that you can mill chicken feed continuously.

Task 6 - Find origami cranes (1,000/1,200/1,500/1,800/2,000) from processing and production facilities. Average per hour for a single production facility -

The requirements and the drop rates were changed per [URL="http://en.board.goodgamestudios.com/bigfarm/showthread.php?79726-The-Architect-Update-09.09.2013"]this GGS post[/URL]. This
resulted in a 10% drop in number of cranes found in corn and a
122% increase in those found from milling corn.

I've included the number of harvests to give some idea of the reliability of the average cranes per hour figure - the fewer the harvests, the less reliable the figure, and the higher the number of harvests, the more reliable the figure.

I need to analyse task 6 some more, but by luck I discovered that the finds appear to increase as the task progresses the first 23 cranes took 105 corn harvests to find, the next 23 took 84 harvests and the next 23 took 70 harvests. So GGS may have the ability to change the probability of finds on a time basis or based upon the progress made towards a particular target.

You are welcome Mae Anne^^

I think you get them from all orchards but i am not 100% sure since i haven't arrived to that task yet,i am still on task 3.

I think the task would be very hard, almost impossible to do if you were getting them just from cherry orchards.

I got info about 4th task from a friend, when i found out i will post it here.

Level 54-56
Task 1
Collect 60 Fertilizer, skip for 950 gold

CORRECTION: Level 56 is collect 70 fertilizer. Either I misread that at 5:00am, or the level breakpoint got changed in the fix that replaced my Logout and Support buttons.

The cherries and the reward are the same for both levels.

Task 2
Level 56: Find 360 paintings; reward 50XP and 6 rice seeds
Level 54: Find 320 paintings; reward 40XP and 6 rice seeds
Skip for 1650 gold for both.

Thanks for sharing - just have one question - do we get a Japanese ink wash painting by every harvest/collection from the farm? Some times I get painting's and sometimes I don't....
What's your experience?

I got paintings just from animal stables and fields, not a single painting from windmill, silo, composter or orchards.

For fields and stables, the chance of a painting seemed to be about 1-in-3 to me. They certainly don't appear every time.

Thanks... thought I was going crazy.. :-)

Nope; they're almost totally random. That's why it says "find" instead of "collect".

I am very amused by the cow painting; so very not Asian in style, but very cute nonetheless! ;D
