Hi I hope its ok to do a limerick??

There once was a game called Big Farm
If tried, it would do you no harm
But don't count your chickens
Sometimes it's slim pickings
And the Vikings are not very warm !!

HAPPY New Year and Christmas BIGFARM :D

Its Christmas down on the farm
And with chicken perched upon arm
The crops are growing from seeds im sowing
and piglets all cosy in the barn

The snow is falling
and the Vikings are trawling, for fish to make penguin feed
With apple pie cooking and the dog always looking
for bones to fill his greed.

Tomorrow is Christmas and santa is due,
lets tidy the farm so he doesn't step in poo!

Cherries are red,
Milk cans are blue,
Big Farm is awsome!
You will love it too!

Gabbage is green
and lamb's lettuce too,
Eggs are all white.
Merry Christmas to you!

Santa wears red and
sky is blue,
Reindeers are flying
...Happy New Year to you too!

:)

It's Christmas Eve, Oh joyful day,
Santa's firing up his sleigh,
The halls are decked,
The lights are bright,
The fire's lit to warm the night,
All thats left is to find the winner,
Which animal gets to come to dinner!!
The farmer steals out to the stable,
To pick a prize for the yuletide table,
But word is out, its silent night,
With not a single beast in sight,
The pigs are hiding, the cows have fled,
N'ere a chicken in its bed,
The sneaky goats evade their host,
And no one wants a donkey roast,
So one poor foul is out of luck
BANG!!!! its time to stuff a duck!!!

Its Xmas down at the farm but work still needs to be done.
Animals need to be fed, cleaned, bedded down for night.
Tree chopped down and dressed for Xmas
Logs collected for the fire
Herbs collected to make turkey stuffing
Apples ferment into apple cider
sheep wool knitted into farmers Xmas jumper.
chestnuts crackling on log fire
Smell of cake wafting in kitchen
carrot, cookie and a glass of home made wine wait for santa and his reindeer
carol singers sing at farmers door
its Xmas down at the farm

The workers are racing quickly trying to stay warm.
The horses are playing
They so will be training
Maybe to pull Santa’s sleigh.

Tessa’s popping corn to wrap round the Christmas tree
Oh my gosh!! Someone let my chickens free.
Those naughty boys are at it again
They are really becoming quit a pain.

Night time is now falling
Christmas snow is falling
All the chickens are found
We can now take time to sit around
the Christmas tree
Singing
We wish you a Merry Christmas
We wish you a Merry Christmas
And a happy New Year

Twas the day before Christmas, and all through the farm,
the critters were feeding, all cozy and warm.
When out by the cowsheds, I heard a loud clatter.
I ran from the greenhouse to check on the matter.
George had slipped on a cow pie, the silly old goose.
"Please help me," he cried, "the pigs are all loose."
"I was down at the harbor just doing some fishin' "
"I'd just filled the boat, and I got a dung mission."
"So I hurried back to gather some poo,
But the pigs are all gone. Oh, what shall I do?"
We found Mabel quick, she was on the race course.
Seems she decided to challenge my horse.
O'er the fences she sailed, it seemed hardly trying
I guess at Big Farm, you can see a pig flying.
We'd been running so much, George was huffin' and puffin'
So we stopped at the bakery, for rest and a muffin.
And there we encountered a nice stroke of luck,
for Trixie was swimming, in a pond, with a duck.
"Only one more to go." George said with a wheeze.
"But she's smart and she's sneaky, that darned old Louise."
We searched high and low, oh the hours it took.
She was in the library, her nose in a book.
"I'm checking this out, for you farmers to read,"
"It's all about making a better pig feed."
Pigs back in their stys, and the livestock needs tending,
and so this poem is reaching its ending.
I hope it gave you a couple of giggles,
but I'm out of here, I've got to "save piggles"
Before I shut down the farm for the night,
"Merry Christmas to all, and please shut your pens tight"

Aww, I took too long writing and anifromid beat me to the night before Christmas. Oh, well, here goes anyway:

'Twas the night before Christmas, when all through Big Farm
Not a computer was running, not even in the barn;
The Winter flags were hung by the corner with care,
In hopes that Nils Nordson soon would be there;
The chickens were neslted all snug in their coops;
While penguins were dreaming of doing flips and loops;
And Rita with her paper, and Daniel with his books,
Had just gone too bed, not worries for crooks,
When out on the farm there arose such a ruckus,
Of cattle, pigs and chickens, and a dog all in chorus.
Fearing for twins agents or our neighbor the grump,
I went looking for tents, or trucks from the dump.
The moon shone down strong on glistening frost,
Illuminating treasures the dog found from lost,
When not on the ground but in the air did I see,
A red plane arriving from a land across the sea,
With a big man so muscled, with a beard like a bush
I knew right away it was Nils in a rush.
With more speed than a race horse he came in his plane,
And he hooted and hollered and called us by name:
"Come Riphath! Come Rita! Come Daniel and Lilly!
Captain Barnacle, Miss Tentacle, Omar and Vicky!
To the north is a land that is covered in snow,
Come help me to raise, and then to let go,
Penguins and seals, all manner of life,
Threatened by warming, hunting and strife!"
Down to the airport his plany he did fly,
And waited until his friends all had drawn nigh.
Then he told us a tale of Viking and sea,
And how he only needed a little money;
That we could be part of a mission so great,
To bring threatened creatures to a much better state,
While at the same time, with fassion and flare
To create some new clothes that would cause folks to stare!
I don't know what caused me to pull out my check book,
But it all sounded so grand that I must have a look,
So I gave him some money and much sound advice,
And found him not naughty at all, but quite nice.
In return he sent back great decos and seeds,
the latter by which one could raise mighty steeds
By growing in the greenhouse some berries quite new
And trading them for horseshoes from Barnacle and his crew.
But returning again to the matter at hand,
There is much else to do in this strange foreign land!
Grow lumber and berries, and raise new sheep too,
To make into clothing, and tankards for brew.
But despite so much work (in so little daylight),
Nils makes quite the host, to everyone's delight!
For while a diet consisting of fish and of berries
Might after a while seem bland to your bellies,
Nils' stories and fables of Viking and sea
Were endless in number and funny as can be,
And when all were quite tired and the fire turned to coal,
He'd whisper of a creature which lives in the hole
That is hidden by a waterfall along a rugged cliff,
But comes out at nighttime sailing in a skiff,
Looking for signs of merriment and cheer,
And anything it thinks that you might hold dear,
Hoping while you're sleeping those items to pinch,
It realy did sound like he was speaking of the grinch.
At last I could restrain my laughter no more,
And before I could speak my belly was quite sore,
For the more he described this creature from below,
The more I was certain that it was someone who I know!
"It's Lester, it's Lester," I cied out at last,
And telling Nils of home I rambled on quite fast,
Of festivals and parties, of dogs and of cats,
and finally of Lester, who makes me thing of rats,
but is really quite harmless, and oh, so much fun,
and when the twins come round, Lester really makes them run!
Hither and thither those boys scurry about,
Searching for clues about which they shout,
"Mystery and intrigue, aliens from space!"
Meanwhile ol' Lester is setting the pace;
For in spite of his antics and grumbling and frown,
He is truly a good friend, and such a great clown,
And when he's given you a fright and the truth comes to light,
He'll say, "Merry Christmas, and have a good night!"
For some friends give hugs, and some friends give gifts,
And some give us puzzles and crazy plot shifts,
But at the end of the day, when the harvest is done,
It's by the friends we hold dear that we'll know we have won.

Well, it's not as good as the others but here is my version of the night before Christmas ---

'Twas the night before Christmas and down on the farm
Not a creature was stirring except the horses trying to stay warm
The apple turnovers were set out with great care
In hopes of enticing the Architect to show up there
The farmers were nestled all snug in their beds
While visions of blue tractors danced in their heads
With Rita in her kerchief and Lester in his cap
They both settled down for a long winters nap
When out in the fields there arose such a clatter
I sprang from my hammock to see what was the matter
When what to my wondering eyes should appear
But the architect upgrading a cow shed, what a dear
He spoke not a word but continued his work
And built me more upgrades which was a sweet perk
When he was finished he nodded his head
And I heard him exclaim as I went back to bed
Merry Christmas Big Farm and have a great night

'Twas the night after Christmas and all through the house, not a person was stirring but the mouse. with Tessa packing her trunk and steve just drunk. the farm was all alight with the animals delight. when suddenly there was a stomping of feet. I arose to the window I did seek. what do my eyes did see, but the Vikings come to greet me. they spoke not a word ,but went right to their work. they packed all the pigs into the crates along with the eggs they did create. they took the cows and they took the ducks, they left nothing to us, but the muck. I heard them exclaim as they stomped out of sight. Merry Christmas to big farm and to all a good night..

Its Christmas dinner at Big Farm,
But something is slightly amiss...
Almost all our friends are gathered,
But there is a missing dish.

The table stretches across acres,
twenty-two seats in all
All of the guest are oblivious, that
The other shoe is about to fall.

There's Tessa and George, and Rita,
Steve who's missing a screw.
There's Lester and Vicky and Benny,
And his cute cousin Lana too.

Daniel, Monica and Matilda,
Captain Barnacle sans his crew.
The Apple's, and Monty. As well as
Nils Nordson, he's new.

The Twins are sitting like angels,
and Lilly brought the decor
The red headed Rose came as well
And Omar just came through the door.

Hold on for just a minute here
there's only twenty-ONE guests?
And what about that missing dish?
Are you ready? make a guess!

'Bout who occupies the last chair,
amidst this cast and crew?
Who prepared the Christmas dish?
Why that, my friend, is You.

Big Farm is a place for all sorts
of lively character's true,
But the people who bring it alive?
That my friends are you.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all!

-Y

Farmers First Poetry

Having just fastened antlers on the festive mule,
I realized that it is a donkey which should be done.
Big Farms could always use my brand of ornate Yule.
Really, Good Game Studios is all about fun.
Tessa will see if something’s missing from the tree.
So, seaweed wreathes will have to beautify the gate.
This is one thing to which our Lester can agree,
Even though he still does not like my horse’s mate.
Managed to get a Golden Horseshoe on the Shop;
It looks quite a bit better than that old hubcap.
Maybe, I can get some roses onto the top.
Someday, we’ll send out everything in gift wrap.
I hope no one thinks this is just a silly faze.
Decorations are a part of the Big Farm game.
Surely, you can see that it’s all for the holidays,
Even if you think that my tastes are a bit lame.

With wheat and corn, I can make quite a potent grog.
Hey! It’s for the workers bringing the eggs and milk.
From their labors, we will have some special eggnog.
It may bulge their eyes, but it goes down like fine silk.
The big celebration is with Latten and crew.
They’ll party as if there are not any regrets.
Yet after a few rounds of that very strange brew,
There soon will not be any more Big Farm secrets.
Well, the festivities were all for a good cause.
It’ll provide the staff with a much better humor.
They will work together, in case they break any laws;
Quickly closing their ranks to squelch any rumor.
Certainly, mum’s the word on the new breeding foal.
There’ll be gifts and opportunities, come New Year.
We hope, Surprise Boxes won’t have a lump of coal.
Rather, there’ll be some events that make us cheer.

Now my silly rhymes some players want to dismiss,
As they eagerly wait for one simple reason,
‘Til I wish them all to have a Merry Christmas.
So they put up with me this holiday season.
It is not that we do not really get along.
There are other thoughts for what is holiday glee.
The problems seem to start with some caroling song.
They always insist that I crone only on key.
In missions, other cooperatives compete.
Our family of players tries to do their best.
Some even spend a little gold to not get beat.
To this end, the Big Farm game can be quite a test.
Sometimes, a new player is matched with one of us.
The spirit of this holiday is very huge.
We purposefully lose to avoid any fuss.
Otherwise, we’d be some sort of terrible Scrooge.

I wanted to decorate a tree,
but there were no decorations anywhere I could see
checked the house, barn and even mill
All my effords ended at nill

But up north on a hill
I found a small elf, he told me to chill
"You'll find them, I'm sure you will
But now it's time for you to leave
it's already almost chrismas eve"

Back home progress was steady,
Days were busy and in time everything got ready
Decorations everywhere,
nice dinner for everyone to share
We all got presents, even the dog
Afterwards I slept like a log

I want to thank the small elf,
but next year those decorations better be on a shelf

You can never know the farmer in me.
Not the true farmer at least.
I hide the real me under my hat.
My beige, wide brimmed, floppy hat.
It is well worn in my short few months
cultivating my Big Farm.
Trudging back and forth from my gourmet bakery,
pulling weeds and lavender on my flower farm,
to jumping on a plane at a moments
notice to help a friend on some Island.
My poor hat has had quite an adventure as of late.
First getting numerous of Eva's bees
caught in its weaves.
And now that I've finally removed all of the Festive
Spirit decorations, it's covered in Viking snow.
My prized hat is one of my own creations.
Lovingly weaved from the wheat I've grown
with the help of my amazing Major Misfits.
I use the anonymity my hat provides
to hide the fear and uncertainty
of this new farmer.
If Lester Crowley could see the doubt in my eyes,
my farm would be his.
But, I'm sure his cat Bessie can read me
like a book X(

Christmas lights this time of year,
time for joy and merry cheers.
Home with family, friends, and pets,
Monopoly and chocolate bets.
'Tis the season to celebrate the son,
Who brings salvation to everyone.
A babe born in Bethlehem is the reason
why we celebrate the Christmas season.

Roasted marshmallows, pumpkin pie,
waiting for Santa to come on by.
The familiar jingle of silver bells,
Hear the story the angels tell.
Peace be to the earth, for Christ has come,
eternal life and salvation won.
Don't forget to hang up your stocking,
Off to bed and quit the chair rocking.
Sleep until it is Christmas morn,
the baby Jesus has been born.

It's Christmas on Big Farm, the animals sleep,
Alone in a stable the baby lambs keep.
The cows are not lowing, for Santa will bring
them plenty of fresh hay and jingle bells ring.

There you go! I hope you like it, especially with me adding the true meaning of Christmas in. If you are not a Christian, that's okay. If I don't win, that's okay. I just thought this was worth sharing. :D
