Hey Wulvina,
as much as we would like to enable you to switch decorations between farms, this very feature would be very easy to exploit.
Just imagine the following scenario:
A player has 3 perfectly balanced farms, put all the best decorations on their main farm and has no decoration on their gourmet and flower farms.
I think I agree with Briannospam on this one. Your scenario can be avoided if done correctly by a programmer. Things are not all black or white, there is gray and many shades of it.

so yeah its always shot down because ggs is under the impression that we all have the patience to move 30 plus decorations around all of our farms every 20minuets.(yes they actually expect us to believe that.)personally i would rather them come right out and say its all about the money honey then to insult my intelligence but what can you do?

Well said dragonpride, exactly how i feel. I accept its about money and its ok, but then they try to make excuses and blame players !

Simply put, what would be the point of selling decorations when they just can be moved around from farm to farm - and I'm not even talking gold decorations.
Of course players being able to buy one gold deco and use it on multiple farms, because it's very effective and worth the potential waiting time is a reason that plays into it. But generally, since decos are an integral part of the game, and the entire game balancing, pricing and gameplay is built around it, we can't just add that big of a change to the game.
So yeah, won't happen for now.

Why cant I move decorations between my 3 farms? and
If I build a dec from the drop box in one farm why is it then stuck in that farm?

yes true u can't interchange them... but then again you are at a liberty to place the decorations from the drop box in any farm you like...

With reference to the following post by Nafaru, I believe all of his problems would be addressed if one could transfer deco's from Local Storage to the Drop Box. They would then have to be rebuilt on another farm taking time and occupying the building slot. This would prevent it being a routine strategy whilst allowing one to produce themed farms thus adding another layer of interest to the game.

Why is that? Because he can simply move all the decorations from one farm to another before starting a production on the respective farm.
This would mean that you only need to set up one set of decorations and move them around between farms. Sounds tiresome? Well yes, it would be. But if you look for the most optimal way of playing the game, you would probably feel obliged to do just that.
Furthermore: even if we let you move small amounts of decorations e.g. once a week, this would devalue decorations a bit in general, because it wouldn't be as much of a tough decision where to put your freshly achieved new favorite deco if you could just move it around after a while.
So, yeah, sorry to disappoint you, but it's probably not going to happen. If it ever were, it would probably be event based and only happening very rarely. But we'll have to see about that as well.
mema2.7, you probably know that already, but you can still 'sell' all decorations in your inventory or dropbox, by placing them on your farm and demlishing them. I know it takes some time, but you don't neccesarily need to destroy them without any reimbursement.

Steffi

There are always some options to allow a feature, even if they're somewhat complicated and convoluted. I'm sure we can find a method to allow decoration sharing, but we decided against it for now.
As Nafaru said, it just destroys huge parts of the basic game design, and even if there might be methods and tricks to build some kind of variant that might (!) work out, we're not planning on doing so any time soon.
So, thank you for your input on this, but it's not going to happen for now.

Yeah popeye, thats some good suggestions. I'm sure everyone is tired of looking at the same decorations on each farm. It would be nice to have a different set of decorations on each farm. It's getting a little boring now.

Ideas has been brought up many times actually.
There are smaller decorations available, but they must be earned in temp farms (island, viking farm), or I think some of the decos like the scarecrow from the wheel of fortune are pretty small too. It just takes quite a bit to earn them.
Part of the not sharing decos between farms though is the strategy of the game, making determinations as to where to place them, etc. It is part of the game and I actually enjoy figuring that part out.
More decorations have come out in the game since I started playing, and the game continues to evolve and change as time goes on. So more new decorations are always a possibility.

I think some sort of cool down period ( like the farm machines) when moving decorations might make it work. One decoration at a time and a cool down period. Maybe have a new farm machine that you switch on to do this. 1,2,3, or 4 decors allowed to be moved depending on the option and a cool down period which is lowered at each level.

If one could move decorations from the inventory to the drop box I believe most peoples wishes would be met without any of the very real problems suggested. The need to use time and the building slot to rebuild them would prevent wholesale shuffling whilst allowing one to produce themed farms rather than the random hotch-potch we all end up with.

I would like to see, possibly in the garage/farm equipment area, a pick up truck. something you could activate and use to transfer stored decorations from one farm to another. I have my asian archway on one farm, but the gazebo on another because when I got the archway, I didn't have my gourmet farm yet. I would like to have those themed items together on one farm, but there's no way to transfer them. I have some smaller decorations on my main farm, which would be of better use on my flower farm since the buildings, fields and whatnot take up so much of the available space there. Being able to have a pick up to move things around (like most farms would have) makes sense.

There most likely never will be a way to transfer items between farms. It is part of the strategy of the game. When you reach level 50 you will have access to Greta the Landscape designer. You can buy a new whatnot for the farm you want it on, and destroy, for parts, the one you don't want. Then you can upgrade decorations for more points using the parts you get (or money or gold).

I think that we should be able to move decorations between farms that way we can arrange them according to their sizes or the space we have available on different farms instead of moving extra decorations to storage and have them sitting there mocking us until we have enough farm dollars to expand.
also I have a lonely fairy tale tower on my main farm that would like to be reunited with its family on my flower farm.;(;(

This has been suggested before & it will not happen. Having to choose which farm to build a decoration on is part of the strategy of the game. However, from level 50, we now have Greta & she can make use of your unwanted decos.

Yes this has been mentioned many times, and that just shows what a popular idea it is. Years have gone by now, the design of Big farm is always evolving, so don't give up just yet. We are reaching the situation we need a more flexible approach with more choices than just using Greta to demolish decos. There are so many themed events happening it would be nice to gather all ones same themed decos on the one farm for example, in a special event. Posters who say things are not going to happen are not always right, even though they sound so authoritative, one would almost think they were employees of GG$.
The notion that people would cheat to do start up on one farm and then shift those same decos to start up the next farm is often quoted. A generous timer on shifting decos between farms would negate that argument, and that is also suggested elsewhere.
