I don't know about you but I'm am often checking where I rank on the server.
This idea is to have an automatic alert when you change rank. A message would pop up - something like:
Bad news - your rank has dropped from 14 to 16.
-or-
Congratulations, you have moved up rank from 19 to 18.
The alert would be optional so you could switch it off if you didn't want it. The idea is to get the competitive juices going.
It could even get more personal, something like:
Bad news - Freddy Farmer has just overtaken you in the ranks dropping you from 19 to 20.
-or-
Congratulations. You have just overtaken Freddy Farmer in the ranks moving you up from 25 to 24."
Note I've used red for when you drop in ranks and green for when you rise. I think that might be a good color code for the alerts.
Further to this idea, we could even have the option to mark others that we wish to be alerted to for any rank movement, be able to "watch" them as it were.

This would be awesome for co-ops who are in really tight rankings wars with other co-ops; sometimes the lead changes throughout a day. It'd also mean that people like me don't have to constantly check to see what rank the co-op is at. If you could even list what the point differential was between co-ops that would also be cool.
