I'm not sure where to put this, so I'll just put it here as a general heads-up for folks.
I received the following message from one of my co-op members this morning:

"My computer was locked this morning after I signed on to the farm. It said I had a trojan virus and they wanted money to fix it. They gave a phone number - which I did not call.

I contacted my I.T. guy and he said the history of the lock out was a scam and came from one of the ads in Big Farm. He got me out of it but I think everyone should be warned that this could happen. Microsoft etc does not send out a phone number so if you see that, you can be on alert. IT guy said, turn off computer and call call someone you trust to fix it....."

I warned all my co-op members, and I felt that it needed to be placed in the forum so others can be aware.

Thanks for bringing this up @Bennet Drake (US1). This confirms something I mentioned as a possibility in a previous message. I feel bad to see this happen.

@Bennet Drake (US1) I had something similar not long ago. But mine was a scam to pay for antivirus software I never ordered, but was advertised on Big Farm.
