@Crom Cruach

Re Compensation

So looking at the tools in my possession for the royal city event, I can see that the royal token chest, the premium royal coin case and the golden royal coin case all now have boosters for nomad tokens and glory.

I still have the following issues with the compensation package:

1. The Royal Coin case has no booster at all.  Why not ? It was on the update information as expecting boost values.

2. The booster Values given to the other tools do not appear comparable to the tool cost of the royal event tools.  The royal token chest was costly when I bought it, and it was used sparingly whilst now it has a 1% nomad value and 4% glory value.

3. Royal cities was a cumulative event. I spent a lot of time and effort (any money) earning the 971k royal coins that I had, saving up to get the complete set of equip. GGS has removed them and has stated that it does not intend to compensate for that.  This is unacceptable.

How many times must we all go through the same argument with GGS?  Compensation is where you make reparations for loss/ money spent then provide 'x' to compensate for the inconvenience  etc.

GGS seems to fail to understand the meaning of the word.

This is what leads people to believe GGS does not listen as we have to have the same debates over and over with only the original circumstances changing.  I, personally, am experiencing a deja vu moment whilst typing about what it means to compensate people as I'm aware I have written that aspect of this post in 2 or 3 other discussions.

For GGS they are pixels. For players they represent time and effort, and potentially money, being generous with a compensation package is an opportunity to increase good feeling with your customers. It is a way to demonstrate that you care and to increase customer satisfaction. Satisfied customers are more likely to be retained and thus you increase your sales in the long-term.  Even for those that do not spend, an increase in non ruby player satisfaction will still prove valuable as ruby players need non ruby players to play with! It is a win win situation. The reverse is true with a poor compensation package. Your ruby players will resent the wasted efforts and feel that you have effectively stolen their money under false pretences and become further disillusioned with a company that seems to be demonstrating that it is only our money that it cares for. Meanwhile your non ruby players will feel that they have even less chance and that what is the point of investing their time and effort when the results could be removed with nothing to show for it.  Dissatisfied Ruby customers = a decrease in spend / leave the game,  Dissatisfied Non ruby customers = reduced playing time / leave the game thus causing more dissatisfaction and so on.

Look to everyday modern life, companies that have a reputation of valuing their customers and owning their mistakes have strong and loyal customer bases. Mistakes / problems when handled correctly are an opportunity for a company to increase customer loyalty and satisfaction. I firmly believe GGS as a company needs to invest in Customer Service training for all levels of the company. If it would actually make any difference to the volume of poor experiences we all have to go through,  I'd deliver the training for free!

We want a compensation package that reflects what time, effort and potentially money, we have put into the event.

This is not it.

I would like to see a report of some sort that shows what you compensated my alliance. Far as I can tell Nothing changed. Anytime I have an issue i'm asked for a screen shot to prove things-Well prove to me you compensated my alliance-as taking you for your word is not good enough -if i have to prove my honestly-So do you.
I also would like compensation for my coins(yeah I Can provide a screenshot of what I had before you removed them ) and I also want compensation for my royal coin cases still in my inventory that are useless.

Best way to get compensation is file a lawsuit.

[5058469] sir-haba (SKN1) [SKN1] :: June 20, 2019, 3:21 a.m.
GG should do some tent to main castle where every player can buy things with their royal capital event things, so you dont need to look everyplayers account what they have and how many.

now you just steal our boosters and other stuff without giving anything

[5058470] sir-haba (SKN1) [SKN1] :: June 20, 2019, 3:28 a.m.
so I now have over 40 000 of those useless things, before I also had 12 000 in that last outpost but all my tools dissappeared when it was captured, and of course no compensation from gg, and now rest of those are useless and of course no compensation from gg.
Give players good compensations, it was your fault that that event didnt work, so why punish players for it, is it out from your pocket if you make code for some compensation things? no, its just some pixels.

1. The Royal Coin case has no booster at all.  Why not ? It was on the update information as expecting boost values.
I noticed this myself yesterday. The correct values were not entered for the tool and as such it doesn't function. We have raised a report and this will be fixed in time for the next update.

2. The booster Values given to the other tools do not appear comparable to the tool cost of the royal event tools.  The royal token chest was costly when I bought it, and it was used sparingly whilst now it has a 1% nomad value and 4% glory value.
Royal Capitals were before my time so I can't really compare the tools. I am also not sure what calculations were used here to equate the values.

3. Royal cities was a cumulative event. I spent a lot of time and effort (any money) earning the 971k royal coins that I had, saving up to get the complete set of equip. GGS has removed them and has stated that it does not intend to compensate for that.  This is unacceptable.
I have and will continue to raise this internally.

I hoped and dreamed day and night for the set but these people removed the event.I hoped that the Event will be continued and I could atleast once participate in it...

Well now GGE will give us the set for a lot of Rubies.
Again it is Pay to Win ;)

[5058539] ~King~ (IN1) [IN1] :: June 20, 2019, 10:40 a.m.
Its being heard but totally and utterly ignored, by whoever is making the decisions, that much is clear.

Your answers above just prove that, as if it actually needed proving as there are countless examples of it.

Lets be honest GGE got this wrong from the very very start.

Firstly the event was supposedly pulled as it had some sort of problem that effected a tiny minority of players so tiny in fact that the vast majority of players believe it was simply an excuse to remove the event.

Secondly GGE PROMISED that the event would come back, so it made players wait and wait and wait and wait for the event to return, it built up players anticipation / expectations.

Thirdly, Once the players had been fobbed off so many times GGE had to come clean and admit the event wasnt coming back.

Fourth, When the event was cancelled it was stated that players would recieve compensation for their losses.

Fifth, you made players wait / beg for weeks on end to recieve something they had been promised yet again more broken promises.

Sixth,  when the "compensation" came it wasnt player compensation at all you threw some resources seemingly at random with no explanation at alliances, what individual alliances recieved is a total mystery to all.

When you make an in game currency such as the event tokens / coins.  What you are doing is the equivilent of a Gift voucher Scheme, you are basically saying you invest your time effort and in some cases money into obtainig this currency and we will allow you to exchange that currency for things in game that are of value to you.

So basically what you did is get people to invest their time, effort and money into buying gift vouchers, then when they tried to cash them in you said oh sorry the event isnt running at the moment you can only cash them in when the event is running but dont worry the event will be back you will get chance to cash them in, then after keeping them hanging on for years you tell them sorry the event isnt coming back any more, and when they say what about my gift vouchers you say ohh well they have expired now sorry.

In any other industry that would be fraud, a strong word but its true.  In your indusrty, you hide behind your TOS which allows you legally to say well no in game items have any value, so therefore we can do what we want.  We all know its rubbish, otherwise no one would ever pay real cash for any in game items and clearly people do all the time.

However that said and I dont want this to become a legal discussion.  So lets talk about morality.

If you say to a player if you put your time / effort and in some cases money into playing an event  we will give you event currency in return, and in return for that time effort and in some cases money, you can exchange your event currency for things of value you to you within the game.  Do you not think that if you decide to cancel an event, for whatever commercial reasons you want, that  you should honour that promise to be able to cash in that currency?  And if you cant honour your promise to cash in the currency for whatever technical reasons,  you convert the currency into a currency your players can utilise.

It happens all the time!!!  things get upgraded things get updated, compaines decide to make an old type of  voucher obsolete, but what it does is say well you can convert your x voucher into Y vouchers so you dont lose out.

You had so many opportunities to do the right thing by your players that wouldnt have been difficult, or complicated, all it required was a little advance planning and thought, all you had to do was sit down around a table and say right we are going to cancel the royal capital event, what are the implications to our customers going to be, and how can we ensure they dont lose out and then you could have announced, I am sorry guys we have some dissapointing news we are unfortunatly having to cancel this event due to reasons beyond our control, but the good news is we are launching our new Foreign invasion event next week, and in that event will be a load on new and exciting rewards for you to gain and earn.  And we will be converting all  your Royal Capital currency / boosters, into currency / boosters that can be used in the new event.   And for a short period of time, if you have any old incomplete equipment pieces /  Gems from the royal capital event you will be able to sell them in the apprentice blacksmith, where you will be able to use them to buy things of value to you.

Yet you took the approach, we are cancelling the royal capital event, if our customer lose out tough, if they moan loud enough we will throw them a bone and throw a few bit of wood / stone into alliance funds.  But lets not waste any time on it.

Doing the right thing by your customers is never a cost, its always an investment that will pay future dividends back to you.  I suggest you look at how this whole thing was handled, and look at how it could have been handled, and learn from your mistakes, because companies that never learn from their mistakes dont survive.

GGE seeks to expand its market and oppurtunities to mentally tourture players.

Good luck with this guys & gals but GGE have always inadequately compensated and will continue to do so as it would cost too much to do properly....cmon they dont even have weekend support. So unless we stop the spoilt rich kids buying rubies nothing will change.

[5058585] UD1 (INT1) [INT1] :: June 20, 2019, 1:35 p.m.
I never thought GGE would go this low , i guess for now i will just hibernate spend more time in real life , until they wake up and treat us like customers and not abuse us with lies . maybe i have more money to spend on on other stuff , where i am not taking for a fool .

And to be honest this forum will not change anything , because as much as Mods try to put are side of how we feel , they do not care or listen. this place to them is just there way of letting us vent, and i sure in there heart of heart the mods agree with us , but they have to tow the party line.

Golly I never thought I'd say this, but:
I'm suddenly strangely glad that when the royal capital event did run, I was too potato to play it very much. Back then 1000 defenders was a bit too many for my limited troops and commanders. I'm fortunate to have been so small, so inactive that I don't think I acquired more than 900 royal coins or so. From what I've read, probably thousands of dollars spent to collect royal coins have been, basically, stolen from your players.

How hard could it be to do what Morentz suggested? How hard would it be to set up a shop to allow players to sell back their Royal Capital tools for the same prices they were sold? How hard is it to simply give a damn for your customers, who put the food on your plate, and the electricity in your computers, and keep your employees working for you? I do not have the luxury to boast that I am an investor in GGS, as I have an acute lack of money, but many players have invested significant amounts of their hard-earned money into your game, believing it to be worth their while to support the company developing the game they like to play, and wishing to get an edge from it. So why can't you respect that?

People and companies make mistakes, and I understand that.

But this is not a mistake (as far as I can tell). This is deliberate, this is cold, this is calculating.

This? Utterly and totally unacceptable. This isn't compensation, this is 5 grit sandpaper to the face, followed by a seawater bath.

Royal coins should be compensated.

I think EVERYONE would agree that simply having a Royal Coin Store would solve this problem.  Let those who have them, spend them.  The only question is what to stock it with, and how much each item would cost...…………..

Except that GGS have already taken our coins away. So unless they gave them back........

[5059042] Thorten (US1) [US1] :: June 23, 2019, 12:52 p.m.
It is only when GGS gets kind of concerned  ( like over the food thing with so many complaints across servers even ) that they reach out with offerings in an obvious move to placate customers.

This royal coin thing ... calculated risk on their part.   Probably not many players had a substantial number of coins and the ones who did are a low per centage risk for quitting the game [having way too much invested in their accounts already]

and that is EXACTLY what they should do.  They have the amounts in their database.  The real issue, will be if they WANT to do what is right by the players...….

GGE removed the coins and chests as soon as they announced that the RC wasn't coming back.... then waited for months and say NO individual compensation........ wanna bet their excuse will be they can't compensate because the don't know how many coins/ chests players had in their account??
Lame excuse. but besides that. they could just globally give all the players the well known blue gift....at the start of the next long term event..... with at least a 6 hours booster for every event of the long term event... to cash out within the running long term event whenever it suits the player within the running time of the long term event where it was gifted in... That would be a good compensation for the RC tokens, tools and chests

[5059408] overlord90098 (GB1) [GB1] :: June 26, 2019, 1:55 p.m.
This compensation seems rushed as if GGE went 'oh damn we need to actually do something instead of remaking the nomad and Fl events another 50 times and adding another 20 ruby based tools for an event that doesn't appear.

Good to know honestly was wondering when incompetence from you guys was going to appear, just give the players a decent reward for their time and if any of you who complain are ruby buyers stop buying because you are part of the problem.

.

so what if you already used the chests???? is GGE going to replace them or will they just say ... sheesh...... you already used them so we can't give them back?
