Pennies were removed in August 2017, about half a year ago
something about "inflating/unbalancing the ruby economy"
since when did GGS actually care about balance?lol. All I've seen is them skewing the game in favor of whales.

Eh. GGS' control of the pennies actually did create an unbalanced environment, in my opinion. They would've been just fine if they had simply reduced the amount of pennies given in rewards, but it's hard to expect rational decision-making from GGS.

I agree they could have just simply reduced the amount pennies given in rewards; although, GGS also went a step beyond removing all lucky by even lowering the amount of rubies collected in half from towers, rbc, and Berimond Watchtower. You would think that GGS would stop at removing all lucky pennies. But no they just had to go a step even further than that by reducing the amount of rubies you can get in half despite the fact that amount in my opinion was fine the way it was.

Maybe if they made it so that way you could only get the lucky pennies from the mercenary camp the lucky pennies could have remained in the game. Important to keep in mind they were expensive in gold coins to get when they were available in the mercenary camp and did not very often appear in the mercenary camp either. The only other exception to this is the alliance tournament which I am starting to have my doubts that lucky pennies will be included even in the alliance tournament.If the lucky pennies ever do return back though one alternative could be that the value of the pennies could be reduced from 2k to only 1k rubies. The rubies would still be doubled, but you would only make 500 extra rubies per penny.

Yes and no. You CAN still buy them on occasion for REAL money...…….

Yeah they will still take your rubies to build a well, but no pennies. Nice one! Why don't we just remove the well?
