can someone please explin the figures on troop recruitment ? what is the starting point ? ,i had a level 5 barracks level 2 drill ground and recruitment speed for a slot of 5 imp marks was 7 mins 40 secs on an aristo feast, upgrade drill ground to level 3 cost 17.5 k rubies which increases speed from 50 % to 75 % time drops to 7 min 10 seconds which is not a 25 % differance when i went to school which granted was a long time ago,i then put a level 10 drill ground build item which is spose to increase the speed by 110 % speed then drops to 7 mins 05 secs so for 17'5 k rubies and all the speacial res needed to make the build itam you save 35 seconds on a slot,think that is a terrible return for your buck,what i want to no is what is the start and what are the % being taken off ?

IIRC, the different speed improvements all stack. for example you could have
250% public order
10% build item
600% feast
to give you a total of 860% productivity/recruitment speed
If you add drill ground at 50%, you'd get 910% total. It wouldnt double the recruitment speed.
I think that's the case at least. maybe an expert like Herv can confirm

What you're explaining is a 7,6% of decrease in the recruitment time, wich makes sense if you have 700% - 900% of augmention in the recruitment speed.
Think about it, with -7,6% of recritment time, something that would require 5 hours to recruit would now only take 22 minutes. Not worth 18K rubies IMO but it's not bad.
I'm not an expert, but that is the way it works as far as I know.

Example.
Base recruitment time is 10 minutes for 1 troop. You have 100% recruitment speed (base), then add anything that applies, feasts, PO, drill instructor, drill ground. So you have the 600% boost, 125% drill ground, 80% drill instructor, and 200% PO. Now add that up you get 100+600+125+80+200= 1105%
Just an add on, PO I think works similar to the colossus so the more you have the weaker every PO point is worth. Also the best way to find the base recruiting speed is to go into storms and put some dwellings until it is 100% seeing it is 186% normally.

So they are all additive as is indicated by the + Sign (I am not sure if this is always true though)
and when I look at the drill ground and build item, guess what?


It's a + and they also work additive. However, do not be fooled by the seemingly easy calculation and think logic like this can be applied everywhere, as that is not the case and some things are just plain stupid in the way it is advertised compared to how it really works.

also in this game percentages are not what they appear. Sometimes they are applied to a thing before another bonus, like for food.

As was indicated in another thread, a 100% increase in speed of a thing does not make it arrive instantly; rather it doubles the speed, cutting the travel speed in half. 200% triples speed, decreasing travel speed by a third, etc.
