Hello all,

I am back with a similar question but somewhat different.  I have always been a "live and let live" player, and while I recognize that this is a war game, there are many people who are into the pvp aspect, and some who are not.  I only attack to satisfy quests, and never take anyone's outposts, etc.  If someone tells me they are struggling , I don't attack them.
This is obviously NOT the way this game is often played.
Don't get me wrong...I have explained my philosophy to a number of players who have been respectful and left me alone.
Some have laughed, and said, "well, if you don;t have an alliance, you're F#$ked".
I don't get it.
Anyway, I have been approached by about 30 alliances, and have been respectful to all.  The last two that have invited me I have actually considered joining, until one member of one of those alliances attacked and took my outpost, before I even responded about joining.
So...my question is this:
Is this the norm for what people here call honor?  If so, I will just go find another game.
If not, is there an alliance that stands for these principles, that I might join?

Thanks,

Kaymarr

A big aspect of this game is being social. Joining an alliance is very much encouraged in order to gain strength and connections. There are alliances out there that have your policy of "live and let live" but not many. I guess you just have to find them :)

Being out of alliance can also infer that you have quit the game. Hence, people may be enticed to take your property.

Just search for an alliance that says they are an even alliance that'll do probably.

There are quite a few respectful and honorable alliances out there, from my experience. As with any large group of people, there were almost always be a few people who play in styles that some would label as dishonorable.

One of the main disagreements that many players have is what is/isn't an "honorable" thing to do (using the word honorable because that's how you describe it, not to be confused with the actual honor mechanic within the game). The problem here is that this game is a war game that's meant to be centered around dominating property and defeating other players, so the concept of honor is a bit muddy.

It's true that you're probably going to do a whole lot better if you're in an alliance, especially an alliance above rank 150 or so (that's usually about how many alliances complete events), so I recommend finding one. I think you'll find that most players are quite friendly (especially when you're on their team).
