we are not being shown as a recommended alliance to join.
what can we do for that?

Check this on your alliance member list, and make sure you have "Yes" as marked on the option. Other way, open the alliance, so whoever wants to join will just click "Join alliance" without asking to join.
Also, if a new player joins the game, and he is near to one of your members on the map, your alliance will appear to him.
Make sure you have enough space.
