Seems to be set at 30 tickets, but it gives rewards for 3.    This isn't a case of pro-mode being switched on.    Pro mode costs 300 tickets

I'd saved up tickets and I spun the wheel 5 times, spent 150 tickets for 15 tickets worth of rewards.

Any chance I can get those tickets back?     ( I swear it wasn't in pro mode, if it was, that would have been fine, the rewards would have been bigger).

Based on what other people are saying I get the impression that the rewards for normal mode were not improved besides the new commander set with a power level of 5 while the power level of 9 is what is required on pro mode. I have not spun yet, but if that were true that would suck. Take rubies and gold coins for example. For a price of 30 tickets you could get a lot of gold coins and rubies as well, but if they remained the same on normal mode as they were before instead of increasing the amount after increasing the price of tickets on normal mode that would stink.

Not to mention, that the extra wood, stone, rare equipment, bodkin arrows, and even decorations from normal mode are not really needed either especially for level 70+ players who buy rubies. The problem I have with decorations from the spinning wheel the way they are currently is that they are still not as good as decorations with 230 po or better and may eventually be worth more in selling than keeping. There are also plenty of other rewards from normal mode as well that one could argue are not really needed. The few things that I have taken notice of that may be worth getting from normal mode is the new commander set and gators for the moat for example. It could also be argued as well that limb powder bombs and/or arrow slits from the spinning wheel would be better for ruby buyers than bodkin arrows which I have plenty of despite me hardly ever using them and that ruby flags would be much better than red flags.

Nobody else sees this?   People in my alliance noticed it.

I appreciate the thought you put into this, but you don't need to spin the wheel, you only need to look.  It says spin: 30 tickets, and to the left where the pro-mode option is, it says 300 tickets.    You seem to have addressed an entirely different question than the one I asked.

Is this a permanent change or just another cockup

Best chance, contact support and complain.

I know I would. Even if it is only 150 tickets, if lots of people complain about wasted tickets then eventually they will realize the change is bad. Doesn't mean they will actually do anything to correct it, but if it costs them money, they should.

Tickets cost them money. Manhours for reading, responding, etc,

Intentional change.

[4966990] Nambala (AU1) [AU1] :: June 21, 2018, 1:31 p.m.
They deliberately changed the wheel, devaluing what we have earned and/or bought by 90%, thus making buying anything from them ever again an exercise in stupidity, since they may on a whim devalue whatever you buy by 90% - or just take it away, what's the real diff between devaluing what you buy by 90% and just saying nah, not gonna give it to you at all?

Wheel of Fortune is now only for those still stupid enough to trust GGS with their money.

Bottom line is no. You could try to contact the support team, but chances are that I do not think that you will ever get your tickets back. The point I was making is that I loved at least some of what I used to get on "pro mode" for 30 tickets, but now it sucks that it costs 300 tickets for just one spin even with the improved rewards apparently on pro mode. As for "normal mode" I did not like normal mode the way it was before which is why I used pro mode instead and hardly ever use normal mode besides for getting just level 2 occasionally and free spins, but that was back when it costed 30 tickets instead of 300.

GoodGame says they dropped the ruby cost of buying tickets so they felt justified in the massive increase in tickets per spin.  When GoodGame was bought out, the motivation for the company changed from making a living from providing entertainment to greed.  That is why the massive increase in the pop-up ads to the point where it is making some people quit and causing others to never spend money on Empire.  The game is increasingly being oriented toward making a profit.  Unfortunately, greedy people are usually stupid and ruin the long term outlook of everything they touch.  Simply offering a no pop-ups version for a small monthly fee would generate more revenue and retain more players, leading to increased income and better player retention.

I'm not holding my breath on any increase in smarts from GG.  This stunt convinced me to never buy rubies so I guess they just don't want my money.

Yes, this change on the Wheel of Fortune was brought up not long ago as an announcement for their 'new & cool' feature. This change was intentional as well as the new power level system on equipment which may only show up on newer equipment which is also found on the Wheel of Fortune. It is highly unlikely that the new ticket system will change because GGE was boasting about the decline in cost for tickets  >  which in my opinion seems like they are trying to lure in my players to pay as the WoF rewards are still set at 3 or 6 tickets.

I have provided the links below  to the announcements on the new WoF and the Power System:

300 tickets instead of 30 in pro mode is simply more greed.
The prizes arent worth 300 tickets.
I guess from here on out I spin in normal mode for crappy prizes. 30 tickets made it enjoyable. 300 tickets makes it worthless.

I stopped buying rubies long ago.

I no longer enjoy the game since larger alliances with ruby whales are allowed to farm smaller players and smaller alliances.
Sooner or later I'll forget my log in details and that will be the end of this adventure in ignorance.
and no one will notice.
lol

eh since this is inetentional change I may just spend my money on a new console and bug off. this is way too greedy. and oh. it may be a permanent change but it was definitely a cock up for sure.

Don't boycott the wheel... boycott ruby purchases lol

Hit them where it hurts the most

[4970669] headra helix (AU1) [None] :: June 26, 2018, 5:33 p.m.

Don't people understand GGe don't want non ruby players hence the mess they have made with the wheel , 30 tickets a spin and if you are lucky to hit jackpot 9 times out of 10 reward will be 5 horse tails , People need to wake up and smell the coffee the old adage of hit them where it hurts still counts stop buying rubies till you get a product that works ,

Then  maybe they will get their act together and work with all players instead of the elite few who are whales

[4970940] anvandeuren (NL1) [NL1] :: June 27, 2018, 3:44 a.m.
