David against Goliath Hello fellow players my question is WHO GOT THE RIGHT FOR AN OUTPOST?

First come first serve or whoever is more powerful?

According to GGE it is clear – whatever is within legal game rules – whoever is more powerful!

But there are unwritten game rules that most alliances adhere to – that is first come first serve!

PLEASE VOICE YOUR OPINION HERE!

I am a player who is Level 30 now. I had a big fight over a Food8 Outpost against the top 6 alliance Elite Guards with the help of 3 sub alliances on the US Server1. That I would lose was eminent, but within 4 days I was able to cap that outpost 11 times, and I was even able to knock off one of their heavy defended caps! PRIDE was finally the main reason Elite Guards would not back down to capture that outpost. But it finally took that one of their own Level 70 players had to move also onto the other side of that outpost in order to finally succeed! Below the history with some mails.

As level 27 player with only one Outpost I saw that there was a free Food8  Outpost without alliance in ruins! It would have taken 38 hours to capture it from where I was at, so I have spent my last 5000 Rubies to move (2nd move) next to that outpost! This way it would only be 6 hours for the move and 1 hour for the cap! I HAVE SUCCEDED TO CAP THAT OUTPOST FIRST

While I was on the move I got this first mail from:

Joseph Joseph Henry217 – Level 70-800 (EliteGuards) we have a capture headed to the OP next to your relocation flag. please dont capture it. I hope you will not mess up our OP capture   http://prntscr.com/l0twcf     joe, eliteguards

After my successful 2 captures I was knocked off by AdventurerGavin – Level 70-60 (MU EliteArrows)

My Mail: Hi Gavin, You knocked me off twice now!  Please respect that I was first here! I spent 5k rubies to move. It is unfair to steal it from me!                   Hamlet

Response from:  From Joseph Henry217 – Level 70-800 (EliteGuards)

we are not stealing -- the OP is out in the wild. and we have a capture hit before you even got there.

After pleading for fairness in many mails, their PRIDE got to them and they engaged 3 alliances to capture it. It looked like this:

I found that even after 4 days, with 3 big alliances were not capable to get that outpost to Greatking52, and he still did not have it   OrionGamer has even tried to capture my only Outpost I had just in spite!  Finally on the 5th day Greatking52 was able to capture it via OrionGamer  who specially moved there too with 41 k defense protecting the capture!

Tis a war game, if you feel like their claim is unfounded, you fight for it and go for winsies. No-one has a "right" to that outpost other than whatever claim they can support with armies and razzle dazzle.

Best of luck though, sounds like a bit of excitement at least :)

King fujiwara

If you look at my last uploaded picture above you can see that there is about a 3 hour time period to capture from the other player to arrive at (my capped outpost), but my cap was already knocked off that outpost at the time when I did the screenshot (you see no flag on the outpost anymore), therefore my question is why is the new cap of the other player still showing?

If I get knocked off, then the outpost should reverts right away back to the previous owner, therefore it should have been available for me to cap again! Because this did not happen, the new cap of the big Level 70 player ultimately succeeded, taking away the opportunity for me to cap it again in time for the other player to arrive. If I could have done that it would have been a "no battle" for him because of change of ownership!

Since my cap time was less then 1 hour, I could have been there easy enough in time (3h) for the other cap to get a "no battle" If this is a glitch, then I lost that opportunity to cap that outpost again and again (if I keep getting knocked off)because of a bug in the GGE game! Would you please look into this, and if it is so like I said above to inform GGE to fix this bug, and have GGE compensate my loss!

Thank you  Hamlet

It's designed that way to allow caps to knock each other. You capture/attack the outpost, not the capture on it, so that regardless of what happens a battle will take place. It worked to your disadvantage in this case, as it's the way it is to encourage fighting over it as opposed to causing capture attempts to bounce by using the change of ownership mechanic.

But lol at EG needing 3 alliances to keep a level 27 from taking an unaligned outpost. I guess their reputation really does precede them.

Yeah, it's a designed mechanic. There have been a few capital wars that would be pointless if people could munchkin no battles by simply getting a different flag on there before a serious hit landed. Sorry to hear you didn't get it though.
