Alright, I have a question for those who run alliances or are in a active alliance.
What makes a good Deputy?

Well first off, the deputy is the 2nd highest rank in a alliance after leader.
The leader doesn't just give the rank just like that.. at the drop of a hat.
To get that rank, the leader needs your trustability, and loyalty.
So what makes a good deputy?
To ensure that some of the alliance problems are in his hands too, not all on the leader's back.
Like the players activity, inactivity, and to make sure there are no internal problems.
Some deputies might like to keep track of players weekly loot, making spreadsheets with their names, and the rank with activity.
I've seen these type of players when they formed a new alliance, so if you're searching for a good deputy, you could ask him to do this type of stuff.
In my alliance deputy gets the crown, if... well my leader is absent, or can't get into the game. (But that's rarely), so again, this is all about his loyalty.
So might say.. sharing passwords is against GGE and ToS rules, yeah it is, in some alliances, deputies have passwords of the leadership, in a way is not bad to have passwords of your mates, in case of a random declared war in the middle of night. (Hey, yeah i know saying this stuff is bad and all, but lets be honest, getting in the morning in your game, and finding your alliance burned is not fun). I am against sharing passwords in game, or holding accounts, but lets face it, 90% of players in the servers do this kind of stuff, so why to hide it
Taking the right decisions in some drastic moments for the alliance, if the leader is off.
If i was a deputy, and there was a problem, i'd take the hold of the alliance, until leader comes online.
So yeah, in many ways, this is the stuff that a "good" deputy does in a high alliance.
The right hand of the leader.

Someone who you'd have complete faith running the place if you were on holiday or not around for an extended period of time, and someone you feel comfortable sharing leadership jobs with when you're both around (and someone who would actually put in the effort to do so).
