You beat me making the official B**chfest thread for the reroll.
I was of course ignored, in my comments I left on the test server, where they could easily find it since there are typically is less than 5 posts a run there.
Don't bother guys. I know(from past experience) there are no changes to what I experimented with on the test server. It actually rerolled a 7k loaded with defenders to 800. Fortify(ruby) reduced troops too.

Reroll literally rolls a new castle, and then adds the displayed defenders to it. It's really only useful for turning your 400s into 800s.
The fortify should not reduce troops - there is a chance it increases them and then the castle was going to shrink anyway (as the big castles do as they're only large based on faux support), however it's being investigated as to whether or not it's an outright bug.

I understand all of that , but it is the increase of coins every roll after 4 re roll it cost 192k coins so i should imagine the next re roll 300k
and i guest this is method is the same no matter what you purchase with rubies tablets etc , so i guess all the time you spent into doing this re roll system is dead in the water.
GGE time and effort wasted and our anticipation of the re roll was all in vain

The second you hit any castle, it resets the reroll cost to 24k

@BM Fujiwara
Please pass this on:
If it literally rerolls, and then adds troops to the re-rolled(new) castle, then GGE should say so in their announcement. That is NOT HOW THE ANNOUNCEMENT READS to someone who speaks english as their primary language. What I (and I figure most) got out of the announcement was that the existing re-rolled castle would be replaced by one with 20-200 more troops.
As for fortify, the announcement indicates to me, that the castle would be the same(same setup, same castellan), but with more troops. Not a re-roll. Fortify means to take what you have and make stronger, not replace.
As said before, GGE really needs to work on their translations into the various languages, to communicate the right IDEA, not just some literal translation of the words.
Misleading announcements and things are getting really old. Between this, the bait and switches, ignoring player input, and the blatant greed players are quitting in droves.

I totally agree everything is misleading in there statements lures, and once they come in force , and players actually try the new update . and find they been sold a pup , then they come out with clear statements which in turn is not what we really expected . there wording need to be clearer in any new annoucement. and to honest are we really getting bigger castles or are we getting what we would have got if we hit them instead of reroll ? either way this was never made that clear from the first announcement.

And, anyone else gives 2 poops.
After I worked out the kinks gave it a try. I was really very happy with the outcomes I was receiving. Made 3-4 million glory in a couple of hours. It wasn't that cost heavy on coins rubies and resources. Gives me a reason to hunt Kahn Medals and Samurai tokens again. Overall verdict 7 out of 10. It really sounds pretty fair to me. I find this update decent.
It's not the "silver spoon" that everybody wanted. But, it seems decent and fair to me under full review. A lot of these posts were made in haste within a few minutes or a couple of hours without anyone really giving it a try.
And, furthermore, on the statement that was made about the update, I found it to be clear and concise about the situation. But, sometimes people fail to read the finer print.
Thanks for taking the time to address players concerns @BM Fujiwara and I hope you continue to do an excellent job at being the mediator between the average player and GGE.

I agree the original wording was more ambiguous than it should have been, and I interpreted it wrong originally too. I have fed it back, and we have an updated post response in the November updates. I'll try to keep on top of tooltip wording as well.bernhardt (US1) said:@BM Fujiwara

The fortify you describe is literally how it's supposed to work. It does look like there are real (and frankly show stopping) bugs on how fortify breaks "already big" castles, and I've posted the bug and why I think it's happening back. Whether it gets fixed this event or not I don't know, but no-one at GGS is denying that something is going wrong at the moment, so it will get fixed (and as it involves rubies probably sooner rather than later)

I'm puzzled to see that "fortify" should not result in fewer troops, since, the castle with 2.6k troops I had spied originally became a castle with 1.5k troops after I had paid my 1500 rubies. Is this not similar to paying the technicus rubies for that final upgrade on your castellan, only for it to take it down ? I would encourage anyone who considers gambling on this [that's what it appears to be, gambling] to take a screenshot of the original spy report, to send to Customer Support; sadly I failed to do that and thus have no proof of what I'm claiming.BM Fujiwara said:Reroll literally rolls a new castle, and then adds the displayed defenders to it. The fortify should not reduce troops - there is a chance it increases them and then the castle was going to shrink anyway (as the big castles do as they're only large based on faux support), however it's being investigated as to whether or not it's an outright bug.
Doesn't inspire much confidence, does it?

What rerolls and what not, in other forum discussion someone claimed it is clear to understand what means dethrone and what fortify..
Well, I consider myself between those who foritfied foreign castle with rubies, on the way I had 3k defenders and after I fortify it, it has only 1,2 k defenders (+legendary 1600 militia peasants).
So, it is not so clear in text what consequeces this new options give, ahahahaha, dethroning and fortifying..
