I have a question, how can I take over an alliance with only a leader left in it and that leader is no longer in the game? Basically that account is long gone, no more ruins but it just there, keep the leader title and I want to take over it, I am currently the only one left in it. Thanks!

Normally, when the leader disappears, the leader rank will be passed over to the next highest ranked active member.
However, it seems like the alliance in question is broken or have glitched out.
Unfortunately there is nothing to do about it. That alliance is long gone.

Unfortunately these "blocked" alliances that will never die because of this case where one account never dies (or more..... seen as many as 6 "players" with no ruins, just empty accounts)

Not sure what its like on other servers - on GB1 this variation to the normal course of events has something over 2000 "ghost alliances" on GB1 server... or about 6x the actual number of live alliances!!!

This sad state of affairs must be a real good selling point to new players looking for an alliance to join.....

Join the alliance and then wait until the last player (not you) has been removed from the game

won't actually work for 6/7th of the alliances on the GB1 server as they are blocked by "dead" accounts that won't disappear EVER.

Been reported as a bug to GGS for a very long time but doesn't seem like they've got a solution for it

as the population of GB1 shrinks ever further it will make any alliance based new event rather meaningless!!!
