Hello! Obviously the Relic Greenhouse is good, but is it worth getting due to space management? Also, if I place one, will the game automatically assign that one with 100% workload since it has the highest base production?

110% worth it your food will increase by heaps, and yes the game will automatically make stuff 100% in order to produce the most food....depending on base item on it as well.

At first though the greenhouse will get less priority, but with leveling and higher base food items they will climb the ladder.

That depends heavily on what the player already has. If you are a high level 70, then @blueninja691 (US1) is correct. They often already have other food buildings that the base production is higher than the level 1 Greenhouse.

IF however the player is not level 70 yet, and doesn't have any build items loaded, then the Greenhouse will go straight to the top.

Not a one size fits all answer...……….

a level 70/800 with level 30 granery and level 15 base build item.
and that is what it should be, highest level building getting highest productivity.

ANY granary with a level 15 base build item will take priority over a level 1 greenhouse with no build item.

Level 1 Greenhouse: 196 + 0 base = 196
Level 1 Granary: 91 + 108 base = 199

It IS true that a level 1 greenhouse will beat out a Level 30 Granary if they both have no base build item, as a level 30 Granary only produces 178 base. But, in most cases, anyone with a level 30 Granary has a decent level base food item on it...…....

Some of mine still have a level eight base food item on them, that's just because it takes a while before I earn the 12k charms needed for a lvl 14 base.
