Rising from level one and getting to level 70 is a very hard feat. Mostly because these players have no access to rubies and time skips. I think GGE should make rubies more common, and the ruby prices lower, and maybe a little thing in the corner that says "time skip missions" where if you do something or have something, you get a time skip in coordination to how important that thing is. (for example, one could say "own more than 50 troops with the attack/defence power more than 109.")

Players starting at level 1 will find it excruciatingly difficult to get to 70/800 w/o the time
skips and other 'rewards which GGS has removed or downgraded. I was trying to recruit
some new players from my gaming club but no more. No fun for them, just
frustration - they don't have 24/7/365 to grind,

ok, I'll make this easy for the Gamemaster, no, time skips, no game, you can not make it to level 70 in the time you give without them. so I'll find a new game. Is that what you want?

You are 70/75 now. Is that due to time skips?narwhal empire (INT3) said:now im lvl 70 and i gotta say, the master blacksmith really solves that problem.
Quite the NWO you have growing near your Castle too...…

Well done!!! However, what you need to remember that it isn't the time skips that make you an experienced player. Without the architect anymore, players are joining a seasonal event as level 10s and they are level 70 within a matter of days through buying loads of ruby packages that give time skips. Therefore, that means there is a problem. If that player has no decent OP8 foods near him and he is in an alliance, he will be the weakest link of that alliance. I have seen it time and time again where players have levelled up and left their ops with level 0 towers with barely anything in them. It just doesn't make any sense whatsoever.narwhal empire (INT3) said:now im lvl 70 and i gotta say, the master blacksmith really solves that problem.
It is a great deal better to establish yourself in an experienced alliance (not one that demands ruby purchases) that has a developed mentoring programme where they can help new players to develop their attacking and defending skills, and also other tasks that require mentoring. If you are very new to the game (never played before ever) and you level up to level 70 within days, you are asking for a lot of trouble and there is only so many times an alliance can bail you out.
Therefore, it is best to forget time skips unless they are needed for the Hall of Legends. If you get to level 70 in between 6-9 months, you will have developed a sense of understanding for the game, its mechanics and that way your gaming experience would be better.

By the way, levelling up slowly till level 30 is key as till then you should try to get as much rubies as possible. Because, after that it gets very hard. You simply have no chance to get rubies by attacking Dragons; players with Stables level 3 get there first.

This game is designed to never end. Take your time and do what you enjoy. You will eventually get there. If buying rubies helps and you can afford it then go for it. Once you get to use the blacksmith to buy time skips with the special coins, things go faster.

Can you get refunds on rubies?

If you're staring an account, there is a Growth Bundles in Empire Deals that get you 480,000 rubies to help build your account. I don't know what it costs as it's been a while for me, but I think it's like $20.

The architect had nothing to do with new accounts. It was for high level granaries for high level players and whatnot.LegendaryKing73 (GB1) said:Without the architect anymore, players are joining a seasonal event as level 10s and they are level 70narwhal empire (INT3) said:now im lvl 70 and i gotta say, the master blacksmith really solves that problem.

I see that you have only just recently joined just before the end of last year so, I'l give you a rundown of what buildings needs an architect.Deimos (US1) said:The architect had nothing to do with new accounts. Market level 7 needs an architect at level 49
Market level 8 needs an architect at level 57.
Dwelling level 11 needs an architect at level 46
Dwelling level 12 needs an architect at level 51.
Stone quarry level 10 needs an architect at level 38
Stone quarry level 11 needs an architect at level 44.
So, even a few brief examples and already you can see that you needed the architect before the level 70. Even then it could be as long as 10 days to 20 days for him to arrive.

They did, and some time ago in fact. However, I was just making a statement on how many players are levelling up so quickly to level 70 these days. Some of them are levelling up within 5 days or less via ruby skips or time skips, it doesn't matter.Dudester (INT1) said:I thought they removed the architect?
Anyway, someone said above that you only needed an architect to build the granaries at level 20 and so on. However, this wasn't the case when the architect was there. You had to wait for him to level up certain buildings well before level 70.

I've been playing since 2012 and I don't need advice from someone who thinks dwellings or stone quarries are worth mentioning. They're irrelevant and shouldn't be built in the first place. Only exception is for the wood and stone achievements.LegendaryKing73 (GB1) said:I see that you have only just recently joined just before the end of last year so, I'l give you a rundown of what buildings needs an architect.Deimos (US1) said:The architect had nothing to do with new accounts. "It was for high level granaries for high level players and whatnot. "
The above statement is an affirmation that only granaries require the architect and you cherry pick stone quarries and dwellings and completely miss Markets.
Just admit you was wrong and we'll move on.
