I have been trying to access my profile with the badges and I have to go through extra steps to get there. Has anyone noticed this?

Nope.  Just click your name at the top of the screen and scroll down...……..

I do and a blank section comes up and I have to press the go button and the alt with the left arrow key to get the page up
