Have prime time bonuses been ended for purchase of rubies?

So it seems, GGE promised an announcment last week, but what GGE say and what they do are very different things.

So we are all in the same boat guessing what on earth is going on.

nope you not the only one, i suspect as soon as they realise revenue has dropped off a cliff there will be an announcment where they will back pedal, and make up something no one believes.  And they will partially rewind the changes so they still shaft us but it looks like they have made concessions.

But really all they have done is increased the price needed to play the game.

I really hope i am wrong, I really hope this is a genuine attempt to remove the horrible old system, that is so badly being abused by so many.  Whilst ensuring that the offers offer at least as good value for money a they did before but they are offered to the players that deservie it not those that dont.

But i guess time will tell, the way i view the current situation is GGE are simply making it very easy to play ruby free.

i see a lot of gamer's  and myself now getting worried if prime time bonuses have been removed from the game .
As of today there has been no updates from GGE  or the guys who get credits from GGE  to run the chat Forum
the players need to know or they may be a massif Exodus

the prime bonus's have been removed from the game, as have all the chests that go with them.  they have been replaced by offer than you can buy directly in the sale% tab, unfortunatly non of these contain rubies, and non of them are effected by prime bonus.  so its hat trick of shafts, 

Firstly the old chest bonus used to be worth circa 2600% worth of bonus, the best the new bouns offer is 1000% but only if you spend £99 secondly 2) they are not effected by the prime bonus so effectivly the 2600% bonus was increased to 7800% with a 200% prime.  the new one is 1000% regardless.  And 3) there is no rubies with it so GGE want you to spend twice Firstly on a bonus that is up to 8 times more expensive than the old system and secondly on rubies that now dont really come with a price bonus.  So GGE really have given players the shaft big time on this one.

Of course GGE still offer the personal loyalty bonus system!!!!!!   All you have to do to qualify for the GGE loyalty bonus is log off for a week or 2!!!!  Yes i know its unbelievable but thats GGE's idea of loyalty.  

I suggest that we all become very loyal and simply switch off, After all thats what GGE are encouraging us to do.

To add insult to injury, the offers in the so called amazing sale show a total lack of understanding of what players want.

From a personal point of view, I use a lot of time skips when nomad/sam events are on, 200+ per day each of 1 hour and 30 mins
No bonus chests means no ability to bye time skips, no time skips means no "train" attacks = much lower tokens.
Lower tokens means no horsetails, no horsetails mean low BC/FL scores.
In on fell swoop they have managed to take away any incentive to play.
Yes I know I could buy time skips in the shop @ £20.00 for 200, but I'm not going to pay £20.00 per day to play the game.
Congratulations GGE you've just taken my whole game away from me.

Being a non-ruby player, I must admit, I have noticed that they had disappeared too. However, since I get my rubies from towers and dragons, it means I have to wait just that little bit longer to get what I need. I'm in no hurry. It also means that I get to appreciate the game even more (from a personal point of view of course.)

Fair point, but if nobody bought rubies ( I buy roughly every 6-8 weeks and then only £9.99) the game wouldn't exist. I don't begrudge non buying players, but I do object to being treated as some kind of unthinking cash cow. There is a fine balance between the buyers and non buyers, but make no mistake if the buyers are driven away the game will close down. This sort of change will do much more harm than good.

Again, I refer you to a post I made earlier about rubies. There have been complaints about some or all German alliances (Rawside) have either been buying points or getting the same amount of rubies for half of the price via VPNs. This way, certain players can buy the same amount of rubies from the UK for example, yet using rupees to buy them with (an example.) It seems to me that the feedback/posts about Rubies (buying them cheaply) and VPNs have all been taken into consideration and this is somehow GGEs way of preventing that from happening.

Infortunatly it makes no difference to proxies, the cheap currency accounts can still buy the rubies cheaper, 3-4 times cheaper.  And they also get the new offers cheaper, so lets say you and i have to pay £99 for an offer a proxy will be able to buy it for under £30.

So all these changes do it make the game more expensive, proxies still getting everythign in the game 3-400% cheaper.

And I have no idea about if rawside use proxies or not I have never played the german server, but I know they are rife on the UK server, and I know a bunch of players moved to the australian server from the UK server and they playes using proxies so you can bet its all over the australian server too.

All I would say about the german server is I would be surprised if they were not used over there too, as the largest and highest spending server, the reasons to use them over there are arguably the greatest of any server.  if you were paying £2,000 a month, or could use a proxy and make that about £600 you can see why it becomes attractive.

It is a bit like the Brits who live abroad and somehow able to get sky sports whenever they want via proxy, or why not Netflix USA, when the programmes you want to watch are not available in your own country. As for the cheap currency accounts, you and I know full well that we could buy our rubies cheaper via VPN, it isn't really that difficult to do see above for sky tv and netflix. VPNs have been out for years (even before this game started) and they will be here forever, unfortunately. It is how returnees (people who were banned) kept on coming back to one of my old forums that I used to be admin for. They use a VPN and create another account until you get to see their style of posting. 

Anyway, for the prime-time, you have to be in agreement that I think whatever you have might said about the proxies and ruby primes here, has surely had a positive impact on the game i.e. stopping players from buying their rubies cheaper whilst genuine players like yourself have to pay top price. If they have suspended the prime time because of the VPNs, then it can only be a good thing and it looks like GGE are not going to show their hand for a while. 

Just one thing, if I had £99 for an offer, I wouldn't buy it because I am in need of a new passport and that is costing me the earth. Think about it, I have to hit the nomads with maces....:-D

But thats my point, stopping prime time does nothing to stop proxies buying rubies cheaper, they still get them 3-4 times cheaper than everyone else.  Its base price of the rubies thats cheaper.

And GGE are still offering Primes to Multi accounters, all you have to do is not log in for a week or 2 and you will get a loyalty offer of say 200% discount.  So if anything its given a further advantage to the cheaters.  As they simply "rest" an account for a while, whilst playing another account and then they getting them 3-400% cheaper becuase of the proxy used multiplied up by 200% becasue they using a multi and "resting" it.

So really all taking away the primes has done is given real players any chance of getting a discount.  GGE still offering it to the cheats.  Its the biggest slap in the face for real players yet, its almost like GGE are saying please start new proxy accounts please cheat, we want you to as it will pad our player numbers.   I genuinly cant think of another reason why they would have a pricing structure that incentivices massivly cheating.

At the end of the day, the VPN/proxies will still buy from the shop much cheaper than the honest player, only now, where the honest player bought with primes before it's too expensive to buy from the shop.
Which ever way you look at it they are hurting the honest buyer and probably themselves to boot.

That is just it though. They did NOT force you to buy rubies when you started and they are NOT forcing you to buy them now. When people buy rubies on a constant basis, then it is to stay one step ahead of others and have an advantage. In todays version of Empire, it seems we have a generation of players who want their cake and eat it.

That's quite a good analogy, "cake and eat it".
 I chose to pay for my cake and eat it, now I'm only paying for my cake but I don't get to eat it.
If I cant eat it what's the point of buying it in the first place.
 If the chests arn't there I wont buy the rubys, prime or not!
