I wouldn't progress if I were you, simply because you're on a road to nowhere. But if you choose to, there are a few things to keep in mind.

1. The game is littered with alternate accounts

2. Micro-transactions make it so that, for players of approximately equal skill level, you will always be out-competed by someone who can spend more. End of discussion. As you progress, it will become increasingly difficult to compete - and at some point, you may say it isn't even worth competing in such an imbalanced game. So then you'll quit and all of the fictitious progress you've made will disappear. And you're left wondering why you spent so much time doing what you knew all along was pointless.

If you choose to play nonetheless, Breor47 on YouTube has relatively good guides on Goodgame Empire.

First tip - Ignore the quest book. You want to stay a low level (level 69 or below) for as long as possible, as once you hit level 70 the game gets extremely hard.
Second tip - Loot a lot. You should try to loot at least 10,000 times your level, so a level 10 would want to loot 100,000 per week minimum. I got into my top 75 alliance because of my loot at level 24.
Third tip - Get as much Public Order as possible. DO NOT BUILD DWELLINGS. You should be able to loot all the coins you need from events and robber barons. Build as much deco as possible, and fill your castle with the big decorations.

Do you want an alliance to support you or are you looking for a mentor? You should try getting into a decent leveled alliance that has a strong family. That way if you have any questions that your alliance doesn't know, they can help you get the answers you're looking for.

Hi I am new to the game. I am not sure what I am doing. I am following the messages, but have not been in any battles except the little castles that don't fight back. Is that all there is to this game. I am looking for someone to help me along. Do you have mentors. Oh also I only speak English, I tried to connect with someone who spoke another language. Seems like a fun game just not sure what I am doing.

that's okay. first things first, IGNORE WHAT THE GAME SAYS. ignore the quest book at the early levels - you will regret it later on. stay as low of a level as you can until you hit level 70 and grind events to get rubies and good public order items. focus on your food production and public order. once you hit level 50 you can start doing the fun PVP, but at level 70 it gets better. DO NOT RUSH
