Does someone have a guide for using the encampment? I have only the beginning commander and cant figure out how to gain the other two and not sure if I am even equipping the one I have correctly. I selected a helmet from the ones I have and could not unselect it without exiting the game.

Either loot the equipment you need or win them from rewards. Aim to get the best melee, ranged, courtyard strength and the best wall unit limit.
