I am lvl 70/93 and you are saying that I should just recruit range troops during events' preparations?
Also i didnt really understand "trading in nomad tablets" 
is there a way to trade nomad tablets for silver pieces or you mean you get a lot of gold pieces from nomad points in lotus king which you can  change it for silver? - yeah meant that
Oh and also how many range troops should i have ready before a nomad or a fc/bc starts? - depends how much you plan to do if I want to go hard in nomads I need 150k+ but I do 20m+ in nomads when I prepare like that so just find what works best for you, also if you need more mantlets can join the storm islands and also produce some there
And is it far worthy to use veteran crossbowmen for this? - yes as you can replace them so fast
Will 1m glory won in a fc/bc enugh for some fast pieces? - some yeah but ~6-7.5m is one of the best bang for buck but hard to reach at your level so I would not go that hard in fl/bc and focus more on nomads/sams and leveling robber barrons etc.

150k+ ranged troops and I have millions of mantlets by now since I do not really play events activly or in general I haven't played activly in almost a year
