I'm currently under the Bird as I can't commit to the game at the moment due to some RL issues.

I was under the impression that this gave me protection from attacks across the board - including RVs - yet I have just had two of my RVs in Fire capped (and of course, I can't take them back as I would lose my Bird status!)

Anyone know if this is usual and RVs are not included in Bird protection?  There are so many glitches in the game these days I never know...

Yep they can still take them, only new ones you buy cant be taken
