If you put your mouse cursor over any of your stone quarries, farmhouses or woodcutters, you'll see that under the level, it says, Workload: __%. My stone quarries and woodcutters are all workload 100%, except for one woodcutter which is 75%. But my farmhouses are different. There is only one workload 100%, then some are 75%, and then they vary. My lowest percentage is 17%. What makes workload percentages and why? Does it affect food production and how? How do I make my workload higher? They are mostly the same level.

If you have a conservatory or 2, then these replace the 2 farms that give 100% productivity. Just looked at your account and it seems to me that you are talking about one of your outposts. It is really helpful if you specify the place where the "problem", is. As far as I can see, you have chosen outposts that give either a majority of wood or stone and thus the food production is not a priority in those outposts.QueenOfEmpires (US1) said:If you put your mouse cursor over any of your stone quarries, farmhouses or woodcutters, you'll see that under the level, it says, Workload: __%. Opinion, I would get rid of those 2 outposts and get 2 shiny OP 8 food outposts.

The first few production buildings will work at 100% workload. After that, the next ones will each have three quarters of the workload of the previous one, so 75%, 56%, 42%, and so on.QueenOfEmpires (US1) said:If you put your mouse cursor over any of your stone quarries, farmhouses or woodcutters, you'll see that under the level, it says, Workload: __%. Basically, the forest, quarry, and wheat fields are not big enough to support too many workers, that's why the workload of each additional building will be less and less.
The number of buildings working at 100% workload depends on the location, this is what JPS Kills refers to.

Which leads me to think that she has an outpost that produces more stone than food, which isn't great.Wiglema (NL1) said:The first few production buildings will work at 100% workload. Thank you so much, this explanation helped. I'll have to search for food outposts then.JPS Kills (GB1) said:If you have a conservatory or 2, then these replace the 2 farms that give 100% productivity.
