What does it mean when an castle has light behind it like a starburst?

I get the one where the OP is on a rock and so has bigger resource availability (so has glowing bands around it) and so also has ability to generate other kingdom resources in its keep:

But what has the player built/done to get the radiating beams please (this only appears to be on main castles and occupied OPs)?

(has both) and (harder to see on main castles)
