nobody knows

Judging from my own experiences with them, I suspect that the norsemen with axes have the attack power of two-handed swords plus the defense of halberdiers, and the bows have the combined powers of bowmen and heavy crossbows. That's just a guess though, LOL LOL2 is right, nobody knows the exact stats.

That's pretty much correct (one of the tips for the "Defeat level X Barbarians" was that "The local defenders are about as powerful as your halberiders and longbowmen). So I'm guessing it's the same for their attackers too.

yeah those Norsemen are tough.
Even my Traveling Knights had trouble with them

Really? I took on a level 45 barbarian tower with a mixed army of 500 traveling knights and vets and only lost about 31 vets

norseman with bow: 92 attack, 51 melee defense, 125 ranged defense, 20 loot, 25 travel speed, 4 bread consumption
norseman with axe: 109 attack, 135 melee defense, 45 ranged defense, 20 loot, 25 travel speed, 4 bread.

I don't know how to make a screen shot but to see the stats, just do an espionage report and the attack plan screen, move your mouse over a wall and you'll see the troops and the wall/gate protection percentage, then quickly move the mouse on that bubble and click on the coresponding unit to see the stats

I do know how to make a screen shot, so here are the pictures of the stats:

If you click on the portion of the castle in your attack planning screen (after a successful espionage) the defender screen will stay at the top to be inspected. No need for tricky mouse moves, even though that will work too :)

you can just click on the part of the castle you want to check and it will stay displayed
