The search function didn't help me with this question.
In the event of a player often using the Open Gate option, what are the consequences of a capture-attack landing on one of his (opened gate) outposts?
I expect (mental image) the soldiers don't simply stare at each other while handing over their outpost with a good handshake. "Hey, it's cool, go ahead, take this castle, it's yours. My house too? I guess I can live with that. Oh and, those woodcutters while you're at it, we don't want them. Oh, you want the whole town? But it took forever to build! Really? Well... Yeah, I guess it's fine by me, I'll just head on to the next town start a new life, no biggie, it's fine, really...".
Is there a battle anyway? If not, what happens to the defending soldiers, now and/or 24 hours later?

Well, on the tool tip when opening the gate says
"If outposts or resources Villages are under attack there will be still a battle"
I mean if you open gates on your outposts there is no battle, so i think the meaning is "there will be still a battle in case of a Capture attack in an outpost", it makes sense is it?

Hmm... Thanks for your input. It would seem logical.
I guess we'll find out entirely in a few days when we attempt that capture-attack.
