I just saw the Herald's tent that gives a ruby prize if you vote and I was wondering wether you get the prize as soon as you've voted or if you have to wait until the voting is over.

Oh yeah, silly me. Now I'm wondering how many people have voted for Goodgame Empire. I'm wondering if everybody is voting or if hardly anyone is.

I voted.

It says "Reward for winning with 50%: 150 rubies". I have two questions about this:

1) Is that an additional bonus or one that replaces the original 100?
2) Is the reward given if GGE receives 50% of the votes, or if we beat the second or last game by 50% (e.g. second place received 10 votes, we came first with 15 votes)?

No, the bonus of 150 rubies is added to the 100 rubies if we win with maybe 50% more votes than the second one. It says "If we win first place all loyal players will be rewarded with rubies! [100]" It also says "Another bonus will be added if we win far ahead of the other contestants [+150]" Which means that if we win by far, we will get 250 rubies. Also, do you on get the reward(s) if you voted or does everyone get them. It says" All loyal players will be rewarded". I'm gessing it means if you voted, you will get the reward.

You will get the 100 rubies if GGE wins the contest at the 1st place and becomes the Best European Browser Game of the Year. In short, 100 rubies reward when GGE gets the 1st place. If the no. of difference of votes between the GGE and the game at 2nd place is high then you will get 50 additional rubies i.e. a total of 150 rubies ( but GGE should get 1st place to get the reward)

I would imagine that it is either one of two things:

1) Everyone is rewarded - this is easier for GGS and nice to anyone who tried to vote but for some reason couldn't.
2) Only the people who clicked on the link are going to be rewarded - this might be harder to track but only gives the people who at least tried to vote a reward. It would be impossible/very difficult to reward the people who actually voted.

I think it's probably 1.

Well i think they are basicly bribing us for our votes pretty sad way too win to be honest i wont vote cos of that and cos of the bugs in the game.

They are bribing us, and it is a sad way to win. However, I still voted because this is a good game (pun intended).

Hi guys,

Quite honestly this tactic is used by every gaming company when it comes to awards. We like to hope a lot of our players would vote for us anyway. Think of this as more as a thank you present if we win.

100 rubies isn't even worth going to the website to vote. I don't understand why they are so greedy with their virtual jewels. It wouldn't cost them anything to give people more rubies for voting. I clicked vote and it asked for my e-mail and I didn't even bother.. 100 rubies is a nickel's worth of rubies. Waste of time.

Nobody is forcing anyone to vote. You will get the 100 rubies no matter if you vote or not, but only if we win.

Quite honestly i don't see why people are making such a bit deal over it. All we are asking for is 2 minutes of time to vote for us!

This tactic is used a lot, but that doesn't make it right. Many companies (not gaming companies in particular) come very close to fraud, and certainly do things that aren't very moral. I don't think that's right.

In any case, I won't refuse free rubies. :P

im pretty sure you get 100 if they win but if they win with 50% of the total votes for that section than you get 150
