My outpost has been captured. The game says the attacker can keep it if he can hold onto it for 24 hours. Is there any way I can get it back?

Yes. You can attack the outpost and recapture it. If any of your alliance members attack it, you also get the outpost back.

Or, after the player has kept onto the outpost for 24 hours, you can try to take over it. However, you'll also have to hold on to it for 24 hours.

Yes, I would recommend you take it before he completely captures it, then you should have more chance of getting it back.

i was aware that you can prevent someone from capturing your outpost by simply launching an attack to remove all the enemy's troops so he has no troops that would have completed the 24hours stay to fully capture it. am i right? so that means you don't need to send a recapture mission with a castellan. right?
