I heard a while ago that you could get 500 or 300 rubies for defeating a barbarian fortress. Is this true? Also, will 61 2 handed swords and 43 heavy crossbowmen defeat 108 norsemen? Please tell me soon.

It might.. depending on how many tools you have used. I think you will.

The norsemen with axe have the defending of a halbardier and the attack of a 2HS
The norsemen with bow have the defending of a longbow and the attack of a HCB

Normally when you defeat a barbarian fortress, you'll get 150 rubies

you get 150 rubies for defeating the barbarian fortress, dont know where you got your numbers from.

Really, your question seems a bit weird. Any level 25+ (anyone in the Everwinter Glacier kingdom) should know that there are more factors than just number of troops. Tools, type of troops, keep bonus all effect whether you will win or lose.
