I was attacked by an army with 400+ units, right before I was attacked I asked an alliance member how many units they could put up against me if they were to attack me. It was in the ballpark of 140. They are the same level as my attacker last night and they sent 400+ so how is this possible? Anyone? What is the basis of the strength of an invading army? The size of the wall, the level, the amount of towers? If I attack someone who is lvl8 I can't put up 400 men. I can put 30 so is there a formula that my attacker has that my alliance member does not? Thanks

Yep you beat me to it. Upon closer inspection they sent 3 waves. Can a defender do anything like that besides the tools?

Unfortunately not, If you are able to capture an outpost and haven't done so I would suggest going for a food one, preferably with the capability of supporting 8 farmhouses. Also you should have 6 farmhouses in your main castle, with most of them at the highest level possible. recruit as many troops as possible at your main castle, and send food from your outpost to resupply your castle. That's pretty much all you can do, good luck.

That's pretty much all you can do, good luck.
Also don't forget to fill your castle with decorations to increase PO, you can put in every space possible, parks, and if you're a rubie buyer you can put festival squares
