Hello

In protection mode is activated soldiers consume food?

[1376161] BobFighter834 (INT2) [None] :: Aug. 15, 2012, 5:14 p.m.
Yes. Soldiers consume food during protection mode. Offensive or defensive, in your main castle or a resource village in Fire Peaks. All of your soldiers still consume food.

its the game rule. no matter wat you still have to cousume food

[1376433] BobFighter834 (INT2) [None] :: Aug. 16, 2012, 7:24 a.m.
If you want to reduce your food consumption, buy a bakery. They reduce your food consumption by 10% (and more when you upgrade it). So, for instance, if I have 400 troops in my castle consuming 4 food each, they would normally consume 1600 food. With a level 1 bakery, they would consume 1440 food - 160 less. It's well worth just a small amount of rubies.

625 during the -50% ruby sale. And when you get to a higher level, rubies are easier to get. Besides, name one better thing to spend rubies on.

Yes, bakery is the best thing. I am level 54 and I got bakeries in all castles. Now I am going seond round and trying to get enough rubies to upgrade them. I never bought rubies.

Yeah, bakery is much better than hunter.

Bakeries are WAY better then hunters, and they only cost a total of about 33K rubies (when not buying from 50% discount)

I should add that while bakeries are better than hunters, hunters are a decent way of getting food if you have enough coins (which you should at a higher level).

One more question

When you activate the protection mode it acts in all castles in all kingdoms, or only for the Kingdom which is activated (eg sand or glacier) ?????

Incorrect. If you attack during the protection when you join, you lose it. This is how I lost my protection 3 days early.

Unless you attack a Robber Baron...

Yes, obviously. I guess I probably should have put that in there just in case a newbie looked at it and thought "oh no, I attacked an RBC and now I'm going to lose protection".

So, those who are new to this... "game", always use protection.
