Its like this LvL 22, in a gang, beats up lone LvL 16 they get honor. LvL 16 tries to beat up the gang of LvL 22s... they die. I thought honor was about helping people and being brave.

So basically you've been attacking someone multiple times recently, and you've stopped getting as much honor as you used to. Well, in order to get honor you have to attack someone who has honor that is at least similar to yours. The less honor your target has, the less honor you'll get, until eventually you'll either get no honor or lose it. When you've been attacking this target, not only have you gained honor, but your target has lost it. Therefore, you'll get less honor for each consecutive attack. (Also, unless you know it's an abandoned account, it's not exactly "honorable" to be continually attacking one player every day. It's considered unsporting to not give them a chance to rebuild)

For you to achieve honor, you have to have less than 700 honor more your opponent.
For example, say your honor is 2200, your opponent needs at the very least 1500 honor for you to achieve some.
The more your opponent has honor, the more you'll get if you win.

How do you check how much honor you have? The answer might be right in front of me, but I just can't figure it out.

1) go into the rankings, you'll see your name
2) click on "world map" hover the pointer over your castle and you will see your level, honor and your name

Actually the level has an input into it. Because when you attack a equal level of your self with 1000 honor I would get 100 honor. But a level 16 with that much honor(Don't know how he got it) I only get 14.

that is true and also even high level players let's say level 50's with low or no honor make you lose no honor, or almost no honor, but a level 20 with no honor make you lose lots of honor

Well, there are good reasons to continue attacking players. For instance, I believe someone told Andrea (or someone else on the forums) that ruby players were weak. I have also come across players who are just so annoying that you just can't help but attack.
