Topic: [76339] Frontal or Flank Attack?

Hey everyone :D

I'd like to talk about attacking castles. I finally have the option of using espionage and see that one robber baron castle has 6 macemen stationed at the frontal wall. I was thinking of bypassing them by using the flank but remembered that the macemen will drop back to the keep.

So here is my question: Is attacking an empty flank the same as attacking an occupied front?

no, if you send all macemen to both flanks, they will not get a wall, gate or keep bonus and you will win by a lot

Thanks for answering Aaa343, that helps me out a lot! I thought there must be some advantage to attacking the flanks for there wouldn't be a point.

If you attack only the flank you will fight them in the keep with reduced power, but if you attack two flanks, you will fight them in the keep at equal power

Thanks for responding xJadetsssx! If you hadn't have said that then I would have made a big mistake! I'll be sure to remember that when I attack the flanks
