I accidently made a no-longer-existing player our alliance leader. How do I fix it?

If the player re-joins the game, you will have to explain the situation to them and hope that they give you the position back.
After a while, if the player still doesn't log in, the player will turn to ruins and then disappear from the map. In this case, a general will be appointed randomly. If there is more than one general, the leader will be picked randomly. If there are no generals, the leader will be picked completely randomly from the remaining members.
When the new leader is picked, if it isn't you, then you will have to ask them kindly and politely to give the position to you.
I hope it works out for you, and next time, "think before you click".

I've always thought that a leader would be randomly chosen from ALL members... I've seen some threads supporting this, so can a CM or Mod clarify plz?

It used to be all members but I think they changed it in one of the updates so that it randomly chooses a general first (if there are any) then any non general member if there aren't any generals.

Oh, ok, ty for info. Personally, picking generals first has always seemed more reasonable and logical to me, so I'm glad that I'm wrong! xD

This proves my point that u should have a 24 hour countdown before the new leader becomes a leader, and the present leader can change it anytime

I suggest we change it so it is decided by alphabetical order of your username. I didn't choose a username starting with "b" for no reason. :P
