what do i have to give in suppplies to benefit?

you need to give everything the marauder's ask, in other to get the award

You pay in the resources. You get some marauders, some loot sacks (1/3 of marauders) and some loot carts (1/4 of loot sacks). You will also complete an achievement or get closer to completing an achievement, unless, of course, you've already completed the entire series of big haul (which is impossible currently as you need to complete it at least 5 times just to get past level 1).

where do you got that number of loot sacks are 33% of the marauders and loot bags are 25% of the marauders

I think you meant loot carts instead of loot bags, but you are wrong.

My reward was 216 marauders, 72 loot sacks and 18 loot carts, so I'm going to use that as my example:

72 is 1/3 (also known as 0.33 or 33%) of 216: the marauders. I think we both agree with that.
However, 18 is 1/4 (also known as 0.25 or 25%) of 72: the loot carts. 18 is 1/12 (roughly 0.08 or 8%) of 216: the marauders.

I can provide a screenshot if you still need more evidence.

I have a slightly different question - can I give some resources to get a few marauders? and if so, say about a 1/10 of the resources, would I get 1/10 of the marauders?

No, you can't, it is all the reward or nothing, so if you have resources there and the event ends you will not get anything

Nice idea but wrong. For some reason they are offering me less reward for less resources this time but 130 marauders, 48 loots sacks and 12 loot carts doesn't fit the first part of your equation (although it does the second). Should be 144 marauders.

Hmm... I don't know then. The second part is definitely correct.

What divides into 216 to give 72 (probably with rounding) and divides into 130 to give 48 (again, probably with rounding).

Interestingly enough, I've got the exact same reward as you. Purely out of interest, what level are you?
