Topic: [76532] Waves attack suggestion

HI All,

I am new to this game..... So I need some help from you experts...... Can somebody please tell me is waves attacking is more efficient methodology and how? Do you guys have any calculated no of soldiers you use while attacking in waves to Robber baron castles. I have been trying several combinations to minimize the casualties, but minimum I reached till now for level 7 is 3 spearmen.
Maybe you guys have better combination that you can suggest me to minimize the casualty.

I have also noticed that there is a fixed amount of resources plunder you get for every level of robber baron Castle.
Example:
level 4 plunder:203(total of all resources)
level 5 plunder 257
level 6 plunder 325
level 7 plunder 407
and so on
Going beyond level 8-attack1 is causing me lot of casualties, so if you can help me in this regard. I haven't used waves logic yet.
I know some of you might have prepared list of combinations of your own :)

Waves just allows you to send more soldiers, so if the defenders are not defeated in the first wave and you lose all your attackers then the next wave will attack and so on. However waves are not very useful against low level robber barons as a) you should be able to win in one wave b) there is limited loot, as you noticed, so no point sending a lot of extra attackers

If you are unable to defeat lv8 robber barons easily either your level is too low or you are sending the wrong soldiers.

well... not entirely true. There are some tricks you can do with waves:
1) You could use waves of 1 soldier to clear out tools for a later wave with more soldiers. For level 8 RBCs that probably doesn't make too much sense, since you can also cancel the effect of tools with your own siege tools. Once you start playing around with mantlets, however, you will find it does make sense to sacrifice one soldier sometimes...
2) You can avoid a well defended section at first and only attack the other two sides instead. You should fill up the later waves with more soldiers so you bring as many units as you can to fight the rest in the courtyard (you will also gain an advantage of 30% if you beat 2 sides).

You get a 0% advantage with 2 sides, and a 30% advantage with 3 sides. Apart from that, you were spot on.

I often use the middle and the weakest flank because you can fit 3 times as many troops in the middle than the flanks. However, if there are many soldiers in the keep, then I generally attack all 3 sides because I don't want to fight another lot of soldiers in the keep and I do want the 30% bonus.

First off, don't send spearmen - they're defenders, and are supposed to be used for... surprise, surprise, defending.. xD

You may also need to focus on leveling up and unlocking better attackers to beat the RBCs, and a good amount of decent tools definitely will help quite a lot.

If you want precise information regarding what formation and how many troops (exactly) to send, try using the search bar or checking out the archives. I recalled that someone made a thread some time ago, about what was the most efficient way of beating RBCs and gaining rubies. It goes into looting capacity, cost to send armies, type of attackers, and other details. Hope you manage to find it. Gl! :)

Yeah, there should be more than one thread (by different players), but this is a prety comprehensive one.
