Hi All,

I have been saving up to open the Everwinter Glacier with resources, and I am 80%-90% full of the requirements. However, realizing that I can open this with 1,500 rubies, I would like to open the EG with rubies instead...

Question is>? Will I get my resources back to my main castle if I pay with Rubies at this point, or will the resources be sacrificed/lost?

It would really suck — read: lame game design — if they were lost!

I am fairly sure that you would lose all of the resources. I would personally continue with resources and use the rubies for something else - unless you have bought (literally) millions, there's probably something better to do with your rubies.

Thanks for the advice, but as far as the question goes, you're not 100% certain... so, it's still an open, and interesting, question.

You lose them. There are much better things to spend rubies on (unless you have more money than you know what to do with). Bobfighter is right on both counts.

Hmmm... Is that your final answer - like you tried it and that's what happened? I've contacted support about this, because it doesn't make sense... Again, thanks for the advice, but I need resources more than rubies right now. Hopefully — if you are right — I can still get my resources back.

It makes sense to me - you decide if you want to use resources or waste rubies before you pay anything. Once you've paid some resources, you still have the option of paying rubies for anyone who is REALLY struggling with resources (and is too impatient to wait for the travelling merchant) and GGS still has the possibility of getting a bit of extra cash from someone who accidentally clicks the "pay with rubies" button.

Hey guys... Got a response from GG Support. Looks like you were quite right.

Unfortunately this works similar to when you make a quest donation. You cannot get the resources back because you have already donated them and there is no way to pull them back out. Once you have started to donate you are unable to pay for the rest in rubies.
