what does a Royal Storage do?
and if i store's goods how much?

You must own a capital city.

Does it do anything but hold resources? I seem to remember something about strong troops in the announcement - do they let you unlock a new research or allow you to train troops in the capital or something?

The strong soldiers don't come with the capital. The strong soldiers come when you build the palace. The storage is just storage yes. The reason for it is so you can hold the resources for the capital. Which for me with an architect is 900,000 Stone and 880,000 wood. So it's not instant or easy. Gonna take while and a lot of sleepless nights defending this thing. A lot of the people that wish they had one of these probably wouldn't enjoy it much.

Make your own thread. And build the palace. In a capital. There are currently 6 in your server. You can't. Only people who have a capital can.
