I no longer can do shadow attacks as the button has gone. Does anyone know why? Also I've lost around 60 traveling knights. I know they didn't desert or got killed. Do they move on?

If you've lost troops for no apparent reason, report it as a bug with as much detail as you can. I see you are on the en1 server; I lost all my offensive troops after a successful attack early this morning, so it looks like there was an error on the server last night.
