You have to move your men to your castle in order to attack in adventure

If you want your men to attack from a particular outpost, they need to first be in that castle. Then you must do one of the following:

1. Attack the place you want to. However, before deciding the troops, formations, tools etc., there is an attack screen with an arrow pointing from the castle you're attacking from to the castle you're attacking. Underneath your castle, there should be a drop-down menu. Click on it and select the castle that you want to.

2. Go to the outpost from either the world map or the list of your castles. Then go [back] to the world map and attack normally. It should say the castle name on the first attack screen (with the arrow pointing from your castle to the castle you're attacking).

Personally, I think #1 is simpler, but both work.

Hope this helped. :)

Sorry Bob but there isn't an option for this when it comes to adventures. You can only attack from the main castle. This actually annoys me quite a bit.

Something that annoys me more is that you can send troops out to other kingdoms from outposts but you can only send them back to your main castle.

Oh, sorry. I misread it as "I'm going on an adventure and attacking this guy".
