Okay so I have noticed some people are finding it hard to do the travelling knights event.
This thread is to help those people and all you need is a couple of robber barons lvl 1-8, quite a few men and lots of commanders. If you follow this advice, you won't lose any units and you will finish the event quickly:
(Troops sent are either Two handed swords (THS) or Heavy crossbowmen (HC))
(The second number is how many victories are required untill the next level)
lvl 1-1
any troop to the centre
lvl 2-1
2 THS to left flank, 2 THS to centre, 2 THS to left flank
lvl 3-1
6 THS to left flank, 0 THS to centre, 2 THS to left flank
lvl 4-1
4 THS to left flank, O THS to centre, 4 THS to right flank
lvl 5-2
8 THS to left flank, 0 to centre, 8 THS to right flank
lvl 5-1
0 units to left flank, 5 HC to centre, 0 units to right flank
lvl 6-2
3 HC to left flank, 0 to center, 3 HC to right flank
lvl 6-1
5 HC to left flank, 0 to centre, 5 HC to right flank
lvl 7-3
5 HC to left flank, 0 to centre, 5 HC to right flank
lvl 7-2
5 HC to left flank, 0 to centre, 5 HC to right flank
lvl 7-1
5 HC to left flank, 0 to centre, 5 HC to right flank

Also, don't do the Traveling knights if you can't handle the food that they eat! The higher the level RBC the higher the chance of getting a relic. If you don't have 2 handed or heavy crossbowmen, then i doubt you have the food supply needed, but if you still want to try, then 1 two handed swordsmen = 3 mace and the same for heavy crossbowmen. Then you follow max's guide

MAX, this looks like a good thread but are you sure that if I attack with those formations, I will lose 0 troops? Because it seems like there aren't many troops there, even for low level RBCs.

i usually complete the traveling knights in just 2 hours sending out multiple attacks..

I agree with you, 2 hours is enough if you will send ten attacks from two food outpost and you may finish in less than 2 hours if your robber towers are high in level. keep your robber towers in similar levels so you need to espionage only one tower and send similar attacks to all.i usually complete the traveling knights in just 2 hours

Another Tip, you can substitute marauders for 2HS. They are 1.6X quicker, and since they have a higher attack power you shouldn't lose any(but I haven't tried, that's just how I think it works.)

That should work, and they should bring back a lot more loot (until you reach the limit).
BTW, if anyone hasn't worked it out yet, using veterans in the place of THS and HC should work perfectly as well.

what about RBC level 9 10 and 11? i am level 19 and all robber barons within 10miles are 8 or up now. it makes me spend more money between spying and lost soldier that i make by winning. any tricks for that?

For level 8-2 and up it is: (Left/middle/right) (L = ladder)
8-2: 8 HC/ 0 / 8 HC
8-1: needs spy (use THS on bowmen) 11 THS + 4 L/ 0 / 11 HC + 4 L note: you will lose 1 HC
9-3: 10 THS / 0 / 10 THS note: you will lose 1 THS
9-2: needs spy (use THS on bowmen) 12 THS / 0 / 12 HC note: you will lose 1 HC
9-1: first wave: 12 THS / 0 / 12 HC
second wave: 12 HC / 0 / 12 HC
10-3: 13 HC + 4 L / 39 HC + 4 L / 0 note: you will lose 1 HC

I have completed the mission, earned the troop. Did one attack with them, in the 2nd attack, the troops dispeared on the way return...

I completed the task and got the troops (80 tr. knights and 80 tr. crossbowmen). Completed large attacks for about 1075 glory. Had to be away from the computer for the work day and when I returned the troops were gone. Still, probably worth the effort.
