Still get mostly berries, nearly 200berries, 19roots and nothing of the other ingredients, what a gip! no point if you can't get the other ingredients, the math engine for them is not set right, and I can just go upping PO and level buildings I quit wasting my time with alchemist until they fix it

My problem is it is mostly all berries! 200 berries to only 19 roots, none of the other 2 ingredients, this is a waste of coins/resources/and troops to seek out a few ingredients. Not gonna waste my time on it any more unless they fix it so a better distribution that makes sense comes about, at least on USA-1 is mostly berries.

You are supposed to get mainly berries. You need more of them for the potions, but more importantly, they have to make some things hard to find because those things are hard to find. For the achievement worth a massive 50 points, you need 25 night leafs, 120 brimstone and 250 nibush berries. It's easy to get the berries, and not too hard to get brimstone, but the night leaf is what really makes this challenging and fun.
It's the same with lots of things, especially with games. You don't have much of a chance of getting this special amulet unless you farm this high level boss 100 times, you probably won't get this mission completed unless you fight this guy 750 times etc. This is no different - you need to farm RBCs.
The event can't be that bad anyway - you can fight RBCs and gain from them even without this extra incentive. It's just a bonus, like the travelling knights, almost like a ruby sale.

how did you find the black flower i have all kinds of ingredients from attacking barons but never get the black ones. Guess its just the games way of making us search and attack without mercy using our coins losing our troops at times and give us nothing

If you cannot profit from an RBC, whatever level, without ANY bonuses whatsoever, you are doing something wrong. If you cannot profit from an RBC when you get the additional bonus of these potions, you are REALLY doing something wrong.
I have recently attacked 2 lvl 19 RBCs with 5 and 8 losses (all veterans) without using any tools whatsoever. I gained almost 2,000 coins from EACH of them, and 14 rubies along with some loot.
I have also attacked roughly 30 RBCs level 8 or under, with 0 losses from a single one of them. Not a single troop in 30 battles.

well another thing thats great the traveling knights i got right before and so far have only lost 20 and have attacked 61(i still have reports)RBC's i have earned a good 200 rubies 1 black leaf 50 brimstone 250 berries 60 roots!

I think that saying "attack the highest level RB that you can" would be better, although it has already been said. I have level 20 RBCs and I don't attack RBCs very often and I'm not even close to level 60.
Having said that, I did also farm a lot of low level barons. There is a thread that gives you tips to what soldiers to send from level 1 to level 8-3, and it really helped me.
