I put this question somewhere else phrased a little different, but I think it is important to know a few basics about the Alchemist Event and Potions:
1) Can you save the berries and twigs you build up to the next event?
> If no, then we have to use up all the potions now.
> If yes, then... cool! Because It's nice to build a stock-pile to use later.
2) Can we apply a 3 hour or 6 hour potion to a building on the last minute of the event, and still get the effects on buildings -- after the event closes -- for the full time of the potion?
> If no, then we could lose potions and have to plan ahead to apply potions, (which is sorta lame).
3) And this isn't really a question... but coming from being a Skyrim and Oblivion player, I'd like to say I feel good about the alchemist and I think the potions event is pretty cool! I hope it comes back weekly, at the very least!!
Also, I tried this out:
You *cannot* multiply potion effects by adding them over running effects to get a bonus multiplier... But you can replace a weaker current effect just write over it with a more powerful one.
Fun.

Yes, you can save them up for the next event.

any unused ingredients will be left as it is until the next event where you can continue.
if you mix the ingredients to make a potion, the potion has to be used immediately. potions cannot be kept for later use

One observation: the term building is rather interesting. Couldn't use it on the castle or stable and I forgot what else. Ended up using them on woodcutter.

What do you want to happen with the stables? What would you add 20% onto? The number of horses? The amount of manure they produce?
Tbh, I'm quite pleased at the number of buildings they managed to apply it to. I expected farms, wood and stone, but not dwellings, guardhouses, barracks and workshops.
They *could* add more for a couple - I think making something for the bakery would be WAY too powerful, but they could let you increase the number of soldiers stationed on your towers, the castle gate/wall bonus and maybe even the number of spies/commanders you have.
Some things just can't be applied to this. How can you have 60% more research? What would happen if you got a 100% bonus on the estate? Some things just aren't worthwhile - changing something like the storage would be counter-productive unless you got rid of the resources before the potion expired.

Faster horses, of course, of course Mr. Ed. Faster builds would be the keep's effect. Less time for research. Take the most desirable effect and make it better! After all, it IS magic.
