I have a friend who started playing today but i cannot locate him,
I used his x;y co-ordinates and searched his name but im stuck

Right so it seems we are playing on different servers, is it possible to pick which server you play on?

You are on English 1, as I can see from your server. If your friend doesn't know what world he's in, he probably has the game set to log him in automatically, so tell him to log out and go to the log-in screen. Whichever world is already selected in the server tab(which will be lower down on the screen below the registration info) is the world he is in. If you would like to be in the same world, one of you can make a new account in the other's world, GGE allows one account per person per world.

Ive started my empire in the UK, but im moving to Portugal. Will i still be able to log into the same server and rule my empire from Portugal? or will i have to start from scratch on a new server?

I think you can log into any server from anywhere. Just select from the log in menu. If you're in Portugal you may have to select language first (the Union flag), then United Kingdom 1 from the sub menu.

Should be fine.
