Oh yeah. I think I ate too many turnips today. They're not good for the brain after 25 kilos.

i fixed the original post, "town hall" was supposed to be "town house"
The point is, no dwellings only town houses, you save some order doing this, thus increasing the production of the resource buildings then it would have been, what is the victory column?

Added the dimensions of the buildings

I believe that it's supposed to be a town house - that's why it says "0 dwellings". You can also get lots of coins from other ways - RBCs provide a couple of thousand each, barbarian fortresses give 10K coins per attack and I think that the dragon castles and sand fortresses give a lot of coins as well. You can also get small bits and pieces - the daily login bonus, some glory ranks and a decent number of quests. It's up to you if you want any, and if you do, how many you want.

Yeah, it should just say castle moat and not moat.

Can someone tell me the exact measurements of every building in the list, the amount of space a victory column takes up and the space you have in a fully extended castle? If so, I can work out how much space you would have left.

3600 total squares
main castle is = 971 squares + research tower. approx 996 squares
Then whats left is the space for town houses, guardhouses and decorations.

2604 squares for town houses, guardhouses and decorations.
somebody do the remaining math.

Thank you so much for the information. This gives a new player like myself some guidance on what and how many of each building to build. I appreciate everyone's input.

This is the new tweaked main castle formula:

20 Towers (Level 4)
3 Tavern (Level 3)
3 Farmhouse (Level 10)
3 Stone Quarry (Level 9)
3 Woodcutter (Level 9)
1 The Keep (Level 4)
1 Storage (Level 6)
1 Encampent (Level 3)
1 Siege workshop (Level 3)
1 Barracks (Level 5)
1 Defence workshop (Level 3)
1 Marketplace (Lavel 5)
1 Sawmill (Level 3)
1 Flour mill (Level 3)
1 Stonemason (Level 3)
1 Estate (Level 3)
1 Stable (Level 3)
1 Drill ground (Level 2)
1 Watchtower (Level 2)
1 Bakery (Level 4)
1 Research tower (Level 1) (?)
1 Castle Gate (Level 4)
1 Castle Wall (Level 4)
1 Castle Moat (Level 1)
0 dwellings (Level 1-10)
0 Hideout (Level 1)
24 Guardhouses (Level 3)
23 Town house (Level 10)
24 Festival square

This should work beyond perfectly!

360 guards... wow. I would use some of the guardhouse space for more production plants.

[1391098] Loggan0808 [None] :: Sept. 17, 2012, 1:59 a.m.
If you use the ruby boost for resource production you should be fine....

[1391102] Bossdude [None] :: Sept. 17, 2012, 2:01 a.m.
not really. you can probably get more resources with more production plants. plus you're gonna need them for quests and most strong players have way more than 3 production plants in their main castle, they have at least double.

[1391104] Loggan0808 [None] :: Sept. 17, 2012, 2:04 a.m.
I am aware of that you need more then that for quests, but this is if you've already completed all the quests and is max level and has nothing to do, then you could try this.

It should create a trap situation, fooling the enemy.

My plan is to get to level 60 quickly and then do this over time.

[1391109] Bossdude [None] :: Sept. 17, 2012, 2:09 a.m.
How would it fool the enemy?

[1391118] Loggan0808 [None] :: Sept. 17, 2012, 2:28 a.m.
Ok.

Well first he/she wouldnt be able to find out the troop size, so they would probably just send an army at the castle.
With the ruby food boost you could have a very large troop size all the time, and due to the high amount of town houses you could constantly replenish lost troops.

It would be a monstrosity but it takes some momentum to get there.

Hey, I know this is a lot to ask, but I am wondering if you can make me a guide so that I can follow. I am level 40, and I don't plan on getting any ruby decorations.

I would like to be able to house a lot of units, have my castle un-scoutable, and be able to collect lots of taxes.

Here is a list of the current buildings in my main castle (at the moment I make 470 wood, 518 stone, 938 food, and at 10 minute taxes I make 417:

7 - Guardhouse (level 3)
3 - Taverns (Level 3)
8 - farmhouses (level 9. I am upgrading them to 10 at the moment)
10 - dwellings (level 9)
5 - woodcutter (level 9)
5 - stone quarry (level 9)
1 - encampment (level 3)
1 - marketplace (level 5)
1 - stone mason (level 3)
1 - sawmill (level 3)
1 - flour mill (level 3)
1 - barrack (level 5)
1 - bakery (level 5)
1 - the keep (level 3)
1 - estate (level 3)
1 - siege workshop (level 3)
1 - defense workshop (level 3)
1 - storage (level 6)
1 - watchtower (level 1)
1 - research tower (level 1)
1 - stable (level 1)
25 - parks

What should I add or remove to have the best possible buildings to be able to sustain a massive army, have my castle not spyable, and be able to collect lots taxes from?

I will want to be able to finish quests still, but I'd rather have a big army. I will not be buying overseers and ruby decorations.

I think I should use my 3 outposts to produce resources and taxes. So I don't waste space in my main castle.

Thanks for your help! :D

The food boost is only 25%. With the veteran, it is 30%. So the total is 55%. With the 24 festival squares and the 20 level 4 towers, there would be a total P.O. of 4800, no including dwellings. 1 % is about 20 P.O., 4800 P.O. would be an additional 240% to the production plants. Plus the 55% from both overseers, it would be 295%. If you have level 10 farmhouses, then 88 x 2.95 =259.6 + 88 = 347.6 x the 3 farmhouses that you have = 1042.8. If you have 4 food eating soldiers, then your max soldiers is 260.7. Many high-level players have much more soldiers than that, about 700 or 800. So, theoretically, the attacker should win if he brings tools, even though the enemy doesn't know your defenses.

12x20 + (-60)t + 24*190 = x
t= amount of town houses

x is your order
dont know what you just did.

and dont forget -40% food consumption
+ 30% production increase

88x3=264 food/hours with flour mill
343,2 food/hour

2.4= the actual amount of food used after bakery bonus
343,2/2,4=143 soldiers

143 soldiers + whatever the order bonus gives and if you want to use the ruby bonus you need to add that too.

well none of that matters to me, all im out for is reaching level 60 as fast as possible.

Completely wrong, but nice try.

Take the PO. Multiply it by 4. Get a calculator and find the square root of that number. Add that to 100% and you've got the correct number.

BTW, I don't think that works for negative numbers, but any decent player shouldn't have negative PO anyway.

Anyway, that means that 4800 PO is 239% (rounded).

I would say if you want it for war

18 farmhouses
1 bakery
1 flour mill
1 drill ground
1 siege workshop
1 defense workshop
1 moat ( ruby is the best moat)
1 keep fully upgraded
I castle wall
1 castle gate
1 storage
1 watch tower
as many castle gardens as you can
fill rest of space with quest decoration and ornamental tree for littlest room
