does anybody know how to research veteran men for the achievements???????????(?(

You need to have research tower to do research and I guess you will unlock research tower after level 38 or 39....

Be aware that even after you build the tower, you'll have to research other things before you start on the veteran troops. It's also very expensive, costing over 50k wood and stone each, and takes a long time, 4(ish) days for the defenders, 6 or 7 days for the attackers.

Before I answer the question, I would like to point out 2 rules. #1 - the title of a thread must reflect the content; "??????" tells me nothing. #2 - do a search before opening a new thread; there are many threads already asking about veterans.

To get veterans, you need to:

1. Get to level 39 (I don't know where level 38 came from).
2. Build the research tower.
3. Get maneuver level 2.
4. Get workbench level 3.
5. Get plundering log level 2.

You can then pay ~50K wood and stone, and wait almost a week for the veteran macemen or pay about the same and wait 4 days for the veteran spearmen.

After you pay for the veteran macemen, you can then pay about the same and wait about the same for the veteran crossbowmen. Same thing with veteran spearmen - pay the same and wait the same for the veteran bowmen.

I would imagine that all of that will cost you 400,000 wood and 500,000 stone. And that's only a small portion of the total costs for all of the research.
